Tell me there are Dreaming performances...

Also...is it true about only the one website working?

Ticketmaster works. Ventim still doesn't, though.

I wasn't gonna use ventim anyway. ^_^

Will Ticketmaster STILL work?

That will depend on what happens from 28th onwards.

Hmmm...I'm feeling nervous about this now. I mean, I'd put on a dress and wig and pretend to be Bush herself if it got me in, but I don't feel like I'm gonna get the tickets.

It's gonna be like a Willy Wonka golden ticket. Difference is, it will depend on a fast internet connection and a sheer amount of luck.

Fast internet...damn. Does being in America affect that? Even outside of time zones...

If you have a strong connection, it doesn't matter, you'll have a greater chance. Timezones do not affect it. All you need to do is to pay attention to the clock and the corresponding time.

Oh. OK.

Only I'm not the ones buying them, now...I'll have to ask about the internet connection of who IS buying them.

..this is strange. I've now heard two versions of "The Big Sky". One has more drums and choirs. I prefer the one without better, if only because I like that guitar thing as the bridge.

Ugh, couldn't get tickets...>_<

I at least hope they'll make a DVD of the concert.

[up][up]I suppose you're referring to the "Meteorological Mix". I like that version because it sounds more epic.

[up]And sorry to hear that.sad It also shows that the tickets probably got sold in less than a minute. For all days.

Damn...

NME reported that the tickets sold out in 15 minutes though.

Here are some of the most extreme and funniest tweets about getting the tickets.

My favorite tweets:

  • @StephenBrownGBB: I didn’t get Kate Bush tickets and I’m totally fine with it. TOTALLY. HONESTLY. FINE.
  • @TimNoakes: gonna start a Kate Bush ticket fail support group. After I stop crying.
  • @ceciliatricker: nobody told me u had to be good at captchas to get kate bush tickets

I am not very happy right now.

Will they have it on DVD?

[up][up] 15 minutes, hey? Still, considering that it's 15 concerts...

Also, it's understandable that captchas were needed. Though they definitely made the difference between getting and not getting a ticket.

[up] I hope so.

You hope they will? Why wouldn't they?

Also: hypothetically, how easy would it be to sneak in? :P

...apparently, Twitter is in an uproar over this. They say that the reason tickets sold out so quickly was because they were snapped up by scalpers before anyone else could.

Welp, time to resurrect this thread.

Unless I get 2,000 bucks, I ain't seeing Kate. :/

On the plus side, I finished off the disc collection of hers I've accumulated with The Sensual World.

Thoughts on that album? I don't know what I think of it.

Ah yes, the usual bastards who sell tickets after buying them.

I like it a lot, in spite of some dodgy 80's production (though not as dodgy as it was in The Red Shoes).

Well, here's the thing: I like certain songs (the title track, "Love and Anger") with all my heart. But others...um. ^_^;

It's definitely not her best album, which confuses the hell out of me because I read one list that said it was.

[up]Most people like it a lot because of her lyrics and themes, which are very adult (in the sense of dealing with difficult/complex topics ("Between a Man and a Woman", for example).

Well, yeah. But I can think of other albums of hers I like better (though frankly I was kinda happy that the top spot didn't go to Hounds of Love).

(Not that I don't love that album! But...you know how, when you listen to a countdown of the best rock songs or whatever and you feel kind of disappointed that No. 1 is always "Stairway to Heaven"? Like that.)

[up]I know how it is (e.g. "Top guitarrist of all-time? Jimi Hendrix". I like Jimi, but constant praise wears off after a while).

Yeh. Best Kate album is The Dreaming in my opinion. I understand that that's still a fairly common choice, but it is mine. :3
