Fallout New Vegas RP: Signups

War, war never changes....

The year is 2281, over 204 after the Great War. The place is the Mojave Wasteland. And so our story begins....

The New California Republic is slowly but surely growing more hawkish and socially conservative as the religious right takes root in the NCR's politics. As a result, the "democracy" of the NCR is slowly but steadily evaporating as militarism grows. The most recent effect of this shift in attitude is the massive troop surge of NCR soldiers into the Mojave Wasteland.

On the other side of the Colorado River, Caesar's Legion grows in power and Caesar himself issues reforms that surprise everyone on both sides of the river. He issues the Edict of Phoenix, which allows women to join the Legion's military and exit the slave caste, provided they can pass the physical training. However, despite fit women being able to become citizens, they cannot become Centurions or join Caesar's elite Praetorian Guard. Many women in the Legion's territories are rejoicing at this reform. Stimpaks and other limited medical technologies are also legalized in the Legion.

Mr. House and the Three Families of New Vegas still bide their time in The Strip, silently awaiting.

And amidst all this, a courier was shot dead in Goodsprings and the Platinum Chip was lost. Now the fate of the Mojave Wasteland will be changed forever....

Okay, this is simple. It's a Fallout: New Vegas RP, only the Courier is no longer around and the Platinum Chip is missing for now. You can play as anything, a citizen of New Vegas, a Legionary, an NCR trooper, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel, anything really.

The rules are simple

It is a yay, I will get things going in a few days, as this week is hectic.

In that case, here's my character:

• Name: Coyote Fortune
• Age:23
• Gender: Male
• Faction: Himself
• Appearance: Caucasian features, but extremely tanned skin, dirty blonde hair messily trimmed short, heterochromatic eyes (hazel and blue), scar from left side of mouth to ear.
• Personality: Extremely detached, speaks in curt sentences. Has a very cold demeanor and rarely shows emotion, even as he violently dispatches his foes.
• Equipment: 12.7mm pistol and SMG, Bowie knife, tomahawks, incendiary grenades, Merc Adventurer gear.
• Bio: Born Whispering Coyote of the Barkrunners, a small tribe that ranged to the far north of the Mojave, his childhood was marked with frequent bouts of violence and hardship. His parents were killed when he was eleven years old, his sister disappeared a year later, leaving him alone. The Barkrunners were a favored target of more aggressive neighboring tribes forcing them to relocate several times over the course of a decade. During this time Whispering Coyote earned a reputation for violence among his tribesmen, and those who knew of the Barkrunners saga claim they wouldn't have lasted as long as they did without him, getting as far Utah before being destroyed by the White Legs. By that point, Whispering Coyote had reached manhood and, not wanting to ride a crashing train as it were, changed his name and made tracks for the Mojave. Stories of a shining city of wealth and decadence, where fortunes were won and lost and metal men roamed the streets. But to enter this city of lights, he'd need caps, and mercenary work paid extremely well, especially now that the NCR and The Legion are poised at the brink of war.

• Name: Longinus
• Age: 35
• Gender: Male
• Faction: Caesar’s Legion (Veteran Decanus)
• Appearance: A tall, gaunt man with scraggly beard and messy black hair. Brown eyes perpetually blood shot with haunted sleep deprivation.
• Personality: A good man who felt trapped between his morals and the path his Caesar laid down before him. Each day, he is worn down by the evils the Legion perpetuates only to be rejuvenated at the sight of the Legion’s peace brought upon the warring tribes. This assignment to the Mojave, where Legion’s lands are not within sight, will strain him once more.
• Equipment: Thermic Lance, Machete Gladius, .45 Auto Pistol, Decanus Armor, Stimpaks.
• Bio: Born Marcus Karrde to a pair of jet-addicted Raiders, Longinus was brought into the Legion as a slave only to won his freedom as a gladiator. Ever since then, he have served the Legion loyally, despite his reticent to commit the many atrocities the Legion deemed necessary to pacify a region. His attempts to mitigate such actions have not gone unchallenged, though he yet has the grudging respect of his peers for his combat prowess.

• Name: Lieutenant Veronique Duchamp
• Age: Unknown, probably mid-30s
• Gender: Female
• Faction: NCR
• Appearance: Rough looking, more like a raider then an NCR soldier. She wears either thick black makeup around her eyes or is frequently punched in the eyes; she looks dirty, or at least dusty, and has what can only be called a massive scar across her forehead she tries to keep half-covered with her bright blond hair. Her uniform is contrastingly neat, especially for a soldier on active duty.
• Personality: Depends on the day and time. She seems to switch between politely reserved or even sugary sweet and violently ignorant at will, leading to questions of which could be an act and how good her acting ability may or may not be.
• Equipment: Combat knife, hunting shotgun with extended tube, .357 magnum revolver, green beret, bandoleer armor
• Bio: Claims to be from the state of Klamath, almost certainly a lie based on what most travelers say. Name most likely a fabrication as well. First appeared on Mojave area records leading a draft of replacements for the 9th Mounted Infantry Battalion in Bullhead City at Mojave Outpost in the year 2273. Possessed a duly authorized officer's commission as a 1st Lieutenant and was passed through without question. Served in the pacification of the Bullhead City area and also patrolled behind the lines in Arizona. Received a commendation for actions at the Battle of Arizona Spillway and for resolving the Primm Crisis. Considered a reliable officer, despite being shadier then a cave. Currently on leave in fabulous New Vegas.

So I guess only three people. Fortunately, it seems we have a character for each of the canon endings, short of Mr. House.

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Faction: Independently aligned

Appearance: Caucasian, black hair. Has a sanders style mustache and beard and shaggy hair. Eyes are blue, and usually hid behind sunglasses. Wears a dapper suit in the city, and an armored jumpsuit when in the country. Oh, and a hat. He always has a hat.

Personality: nice, geeky, sweet, kind, and all around adorkable. Rickshaw often thinks he is cooler than he really is. He is very cunning and can be manipulative if he has to be. He is also very moral, and finds it hard to kill anyone, even feral ghouls. Now animals and robots are a different story.

Equipment: sunglasses, dapper gambler hat, dapper gambler suit, vault 21 combat armor, colt .45, fully modded laser rifle.

Bio: A techno enthusiast , mike has always been enamored with the old world tech. he enjoyed playing with robots and mechanisms rather than blocks and food. Born in vault city, he made a living as a free lance robots consultant. But, he always harbored a dream of going to Vegas and finding out about the robot army. He finally managed to scrap together enough caps, and know he is in free side , readying himself to go inside the strip. He hopes to see the insides of a securotron , and will hook up with any chance he gets. Be it House,or third party.

I'm definitely interested, but I'm going to need to refresh my memory on the game before I create my character.

Okay my character (subject to change.)

• Name: First Lieutenant (1LT) Jason Shepard

• Age: 30

• Gender: Male

• Faction: NCR

• Appearance: looks young for his age appearing to be in his early to mid twenties. Has Jet black hair (though if you look thoroughly you can tell it's dyed.), and piercing blue eyes. He has multiple old scars across his chest, and back, along with a really bad scar on his neck, and a small one the goes vertically from just above the bridge of his noes to near the end of his for head. He's normally described as being rather "handsome", despite his scars.

• personality: He's an extremely friendly, flirty person normally, Although when put in certain "situations" he's been known to get rather aggressive, and violent. He's normally fine when placed in a commanding position, but prefers to be working with equals (though he'd rather give orders than receive orders.). He's also a very good actor, and has been known to be able to fake entirely knew personalities when need be, but has trouble doing this in "stressful situations".

• equipment: Baseball bat (GRA) (with the name Jenny carved into it.), service rifle (upgraded springs mod.), Silenced 22. pistol, Combat armor, reinforced mark 2, combat helmet, reinforced mark 2.

• Bio: He isn't aware of where he was born his family use to travel a lot, and after the death of his parents in a bandit attack when he was 10 he was raised by his Twin sister. They lived in a small house, but neither knew where they were in North America they were. At the each of seventeen he began traveling again, eventually when he turned nineteen he settled now in an "NCR state", at age Twenty-five he enlisted with the NCR. He lived in a quite area where while he did see plenty of action it wasn't very dangerous, he quickly rose through the ranks eventually reaching the rank of first lieutenant. a few months ago he transferred to the Mohave wasteland, mostly serving at Camp Mc Carran . He's currently on leave with a few of his fellow officers in New Vegas.

• other: Has extremely strange violent tendency towards ghouls.
