Something about the "Nintendo Force" name sounds even more painfully 1990s than "Nintendo Power" did.

But on the other hand, I do want The '90s back. Do they plan on doing any retro articles in Nintendo Force? Maybe they'll bring back the cheesy comics for all I know, even though Nintendo Power had long since dropped that by the time I started buying issues on a regular basis in the early 2000s. (Never had a subscription.)

Why bother reviving the magazine and it's format if it was dying? The stated major issue was that Nintendo Power's format and sales were no longer worthwhile due to the internet being a faster and superior source of information, so what exactly do they plan to keep the magazine profitable and relevant?

So... they supplement the physical magazine with a website, a la Gameinformer, and they should be fine, so long as the magazine sells?

[up]IF it sells. They're banking on Nostalgia and the attraction of old fans with retro articles and such. But did they consider the fact that a lot of those fans might not be interested anymore and now consider the magazine to be only for kiddies?

[up][up] Well, yeah, but there was a thing where Nintendo Power couldn't branch out into the digital even though they wanted and needed to. Hence the new brand.

Anyway, Brawl In The Family. [awesome]
