The rules of the game are simple.

1. During the new day, a concept/trope is picked. The poster deconstructs it in a specific way. He/she also posts the overall narrative as a restriction. 2. Posters afterwards must reconstruct the deconstruction in a way that also fits the narrative.

I'll start.

-The concept/trope: Heroes

-Deconstruction: A hero's fight against the darkness inexorably exposes him to the inherent tragedy, death, and suffering in the world. As a result, heroes are often in much emotional pain (aka, emotionally screwed up individuals), despite what outer appearences may seem (basically the idea of an observent viewer being able to discern that the hero is certainly crying inside). In order to protect the world they love, they believe they must grow apart (whether that view is correct or false is YMMV) from it and push people away from them. While he appears to be fearless, at heart, he is always scared, knowing that one misstep could make any battle his last. Hurting Hero, Stotic Woobie, and Shell-Shocked Veteran most certainly apply.

-Narrative: Appearances can be deceiving. Despite a seemingly depressing first impression, the Decon-Recon Switch is supposed to make the tale uplifting for those who are truly paying attention. Earn Your Happy Ending is in effect. In fact, the Reconstruction aspect is considerably more important than the Deconstruction.
