So I still wanted to talk about the whole sky opening thing from the background lore index. I was planning on having it play an impact on part of Tony's life before he goes to Sinnoh, but I'm not sure how big of an impact it will be. Are we talking about actual trauma from the incident or just it being a thing that makes his life more weird?

This seems interesting and fun. A few questions though.

1. If I write my submission tomorrow, will Pokemon like Sprigatito, Toedscruel, ect. be available?

2. What effects can Legendary/Mythical Pokemon like Eternatus, Zacian, or Miradon have on the world?

3. How does the Multiverse work? Are there ways to jump between universes, is it possible to be stuck in one, ect.

And now, the (probably) most annoying question…

4. Can I still join even though I don’t use Discord?

1) I think current policy would say that's fine unless others want to wait until we actually go to Paldea before we start introducing Paldea mons. Note though that if it is relevant we are not Currently in Paldea. In fact, Spoilerblock is up now so you could currently do it

2) Admittedly the answer to that is pretty broad because they can do a lot. Many of them are treated like deities in the setting but it depends on the legendary in question

3) The answers to both questions you specifically posed are yes but I'd also recommend Not trying to get involved in the multiverse to start out with for your first character, we generally go for a "get used to how things work before you make use of the more out there parts of the setting"

4) Theoretically yes but our current process of onboarding newbies is like getting to know people via Discord and generally learning how things work so I'm not sure how we'd be able to get you up to speed. Admittedly if you have questions like this it'd probably be easier to get to know how they work in context and it's harder to do that without access to the chats in Discord.

So I think you're missing some things from the Tone and Content Essay. Could you make sure you go back and read them thoroughly?

Second, I think everything else in this signup is in order, my only concern is that, it sounds like this character is sort of bound to Galar and would best be discovered around specifically the Lake of Outrage. I think it's a cool idea to have a specific location in mind like that but it sounds like with a destitute character it's not necessarily going to be easy for them to move around at the time of intro and thus, harder to introduce when people aren't around. If you're willing to find a way to change the location where your character is from or find a way for them to be where everyone else is then it should be fine, though. (I don't necessarily think the exact details of this are something that should be worked out Now, for the record. Rather, once you've gotten used to the community and we're figuring out how to introduce your character it'll probably come up)

Trainer Name: Desmond Sanderson

Appearance: Desmond is a boy with scraggly black-blue hair, yellow eyes, and a bit of a crooked, sharp-toothed grin. He normally wears a black hoodie and pants in casual fare.

Organization Ties: N/A

Region of Origin: Galar. He lived in Motostoke.

Backstory: Desmond's parents were afraid of Pokemon, and never quite got over it. It's understandable, however, when your parents perished due to wild Pokemon. However, Desmond never really understood them, and loved Pokemon secretly. His parents homeschooled him, taught him how to defend himself with hand-to-hand combat and teaching him to use bladed weapons such as swords to hurt Pokemon that hurt him. Desmond studied dutifully, but never actually did any harm to Pokemon. When his parents had to move away for their work as teachers, Desmond stayed behind after having an argument with them about learning to live on his own. Since then, Desmond wandered from place to place, but without any Pokemon of his own, he was a moving target, which led him to scare away most Pokemon. One day, during a particularly nasty run-in with a group of Paras, Desmond nearly was overwhelmed, when a shiny Honedge came in and saved him, driving away the horde. The spirit inhabiting the Pokemon sympathized with Desmond's plight, a weakling unable to properly survive, and she took Desmond under he wing. Desmond became quite the battler with his Honedge, Morgan, and after many trials, they trusted each other to link their souls together, allowing Desmond to wield Morgan like an actual blade and understand her speech. Desmond's martial training alongside Morgan's moves make them a deadly duo.

Personality: Desmond, under Morgan's tutelage, is kind and respectful of others. He considers people to be friends easily, and among those he is close with, he shows a rowdier side. Generally, he's' a bit of a risk-taker, and would do anything for his friends.

Pokemon Species: Shiny Honedge

Nickname: Morgan

Gender: Female

Ability: No Guard (How I think of it, No Guard gives Morgan near unblockable attacks, but being in combat herself as an actual sword will let her take many hits.)

Personality: Morgan acts as a cool big sister to Desmond, even being much, much older than him. A female blacksmith in olden days who was close with several knights, she knows about how to act chivalrous and nags Desmond to do the right thing, often causing light arguments between them, but knows to get down and get her hands dirty when needed. However, she also has a goofier side that she does when in a light mood.

Crow had you take care of most of what's needed and as Daydre said she's doing a Thing similar to your character's Shtick so you should be good to go (just note given that Shtick that in your case it's probably safer to minimize human-on-human combat when you're still starting out). Backstory: Sombra grew up around Team Magma, her parents having been members of the group when she was little. Eventually, they left after the team disbanded.

When she was 15, her and her parents got into an argument about her deciding to join the reformed Neo Team Magma instead of staying with them, despite the fact that she’s be putting herself in even more danger by doing so. She eventually ran away to go join the team, but she was heartbroken over having ruined her relationship with her parents, causing her to be more disconnected towards others.

However, in recent years she’s tried to be more upbeat and positive while working with Team Neo Magma, even when dealing with her own negativity.

Oh hey, looks pretty nice. For the team affiliation, I wouldn't say Magma themselves is active but we definitely have a group called Neo Magma that's popped up on occasion. I think continuity wise it might be better to go with them but ultimately it probably doesn't affect things much?

Looks fine overall, but I will note that since timeline-wise Emerald happened in 2004 and it's been nearly 20 years since then, and the Hoenn Arc that introduced Neo-Magma was in 2011, your character as they are would've been 15 around 2021, long after the original Magma had gone defunct and at least a decade after Neo-Magma's formation.

So some suggestions I have would be:

1) Increasing your character's age a bit, or if you'd rather not do that:

2) Perhaps Sombra ran away to join Neo-Magma (Despite her parents misgivings) instead of choosing to stay.

Hi! Can I join? This RP looked like fun! I can adjust anything that might be needed to help my character fit.

Name: Professor Arlecchino "Arlie" Dell'Arte

Age: 19-25ish

Gender: Ambigous, as she will occasionally change what gender he presents as on a whim.

Ethnicity: English, at least judging by the accent...

Appearance: A thin figure in a motley mix of red and black colored clothes, and one of those hats Burt wore in Mary Poppins.

Organization Ties: None.

Region of origin: Somewhere in Galar

Backstory: Theatre kid who has dabbled in everything from Acting, Glove Puppetry (He still carries the portable stage and hand puppets in her travels, and keeps the professor title), Stage magic, and has recently taken up being a pokemon trainer. Most of the time though, they are found performing on the street to raise money (usually with the puppets, when they haven't swallowed their swazzle, or his famous 'Saw a Pokemon in 3rds trick' which has only gone wrong twice), hawking traditional remedies (Arbok Oil), and occasionally getting into the sort of trouble that gets them run out of town.

Personality/Bio: Arlie won Noxie as an egg in a card game a few years ago, and they've had Arlecchino's recklessness rub off on them.
