Yup.

...And I'm in a better mood now. With a new character, because I have no idea how I was supposed to roleplay the previous one.

• Your Trainer's name: Erin
• Age: Early teens
• Gender: Female
• Ethnicity: English
• Brief description of their appearance: Erin has bobbed blue hair that is so dark that it is almost black. Along with that, she has blue eyes and a petite figure. Some say that she carries more umbrellas than she does Poké Balls, and she does! She carries all her things in her umbrellas, and they are very valuable to her. She wears a yellow raincoat with blue rubber boots. These boots have clouds on them.

• Region of origin: Hoenn
• Backstory: Erin was born in Sootopolis City. Rain was extremely common in Sootopolis City and thus Erin came to carry umbrellas... and umbrellas... and umbrellas. At the age of 10 she would receive her first Pokemon, a Mudkip, and get into the Sootopolis Gym. Recently, she has left the Sootopolis Gym as a Trainer in order to become stronger. Having heard from Scott about the glory of the Battle Frontier, she hopes to join the Battle Tower and become the best crazy umbrella lady, like no one ever was. Fabulous Furfrou

• Nickname: Swampy
• Gender: Male
• Ability: Torrent
• Personality/Bio: Swampy is old for a Mudkip, and he basically serves as Erin’s straight man. He finds the amount of umbrellas that she carries ridiculous and wonders how she manages to use them as a bag. The two get along, though, and Erin cares for Swampy, so Swampy does like Erin. Okay, that one looks good too, but a few things

You're still missing the stuff from the essays, so could you read them carefully and add them so we know you did so?

Just a note that in RP chronology, the Groudon/Kyogre thing happened back in 2004. Were you hoping Erin would remember the events of it, have just lived through it when she was too young to remember or something else? (Or am I just misunderstanding the age range for Early Teens?)

Also, just to be sure, Erin wanting to be part of the Hoenn Battle Frontier isn't going to be a problem for her being in Sinnoh, correct?

...Hmm. I was about 99% certain that at the very least I had edited the phrase in. Is there more than one? Please tell me there's not more than one. Even after reading through the rules completely thouroughly, I had to read the first page of this thread in order to find the phrase in the first place. (The one on Every's Essay is the one I've included... Right about now.)

Sorry, I had been mistaken about the time the RP took place. I thought since that we were mostly running off of the first four regions that it would not take long after the events of Platinum, maybe one or two years max. That would place it say, five years afterwards. The "events you should know" did not say anything about when the events took place.

And no, she could very well move to Sinnoh. Her desire is to get stronger. It does not really matter where as long as she has the potential to grow.

Okay, yeah, there you go. You've got them both. And good it won't be a problem, just wanted to be sure since stuff like that's happened before.

But, yeah, it was 2004, thank you for pointing that out, I'll add in dates for the stuff from there to make things clearer.

Uh, though, if something on the wiki gave you the impression we're mainly working with the first four regions, could you tell me so I can edit it for clarity? We were that way at first (before I joined) because the RP started a bit before Black and White came out in the US, but now that it's come out, we've done stuff with Unova and later Kalos when X/Y came out. We spent most of last year in Hoenn and are likely spending most of this one in Sinnoh, but we're heading to Alola sometime late this year or early next year after Sun/Moon come out.

First item on the list, can't miss it. I already undestood that this RP did expand into Unova and Kalos, but I thought that with the way the FAQ had worded things that it took place some time prior to the events of those games.

Edit: Looking back, thinking that this took place more than ten years in the past was somewhat silly.

Ah, kay. Yeah, it was just worded that way because some characters early on took the place of the Game Protagonists from Gens 2-4 and Red exists because of the events of HGSS in general, but we decided later we didn't want other characters being game protags, and no third version, so ambiguity.

Tagg or I will probably revise that point to make it clearer.

Anyways, is it OK if Erin's main storage medium is actually her Poke Balls? There's canon precedence for Poke Balls being a general storage medium, given that they are the chests of the game, but I'm not sure whether that applies to the WAAPT universe.

If this does work, then she would store them inside her umbrellas, open the umbrellas, and watch as the Poke Balls go flying out, often into someone's face. Or she could just open them like normal. Depends on if you're fine with that.

You mean like storing items in Poke Balls and then storing those Poke Balls in her umbrellas or not using a PC for her Pokemon and just storing their balls in her umbrellas? In either case, I'm personally fine with it, I think.

I can certainly say that Sarah will be excited to meet someone else with Battle Frontier ambitions. :P

Hmmm... I'm a little iffy on the "pokeballs doubling as item storage" thing, mostly because I've never seen that IRP before (and I kind of have a headcannon that the item containing "pokeballs" might not be the same as the mon catching pokeballs. Which is why you can get a pokeball in a "pokeball" in the games).

But other than wondering if that's a worldbuilding type note that should be checked by other people that are smarter than me. I'm fine with the character and probably with that too.

@Blitz Train If anyone else with a bit more knowledge of the RP finds it iffy, then I'm fine with just making it completely inefficient instead of sorta inefficient. And probably replacing it later in the RP with some form of Umbrella of Holding.

So far nobody in chat has a problem with it being something that happens and just doesn't /hasn't been seen on-screen in the RP much. So unless someone comes in later and says something, I'm fine with the pokeballs as storage thing.

Congratulations, Erin! As you are out wandering, you notice an inner tube flying through the air in your direction! What do you do?

Please respond to this situation as you would if it occurred in the RP.

Erin: Oh, wow, cool!

Erin proceeds to get closer.

There is no way that Erin recognizes that the inner tube floating in the air is probably a hostile Pokemon.

Actually, not in this case, but good guess.

-As Erin draws closer, she would likely be struck by the inner tube floating in her direction-

-Regardless of whether she is or not, she may hear a voice-

???: "Ah, sorry, lady! Are you okay?"

-If Erin looked at the source of the voice, she'd probably see a Tuber with a Linoone beside them-

Erin looked over to see the source of the inner tube, noticing the Tuber and her Pokemon.

Erin: Oh, no no no! I'm fine! Don't worry about it!

Erin laughed. This sort of thing happened to others all the time, and Erin knew it was her fault. When this sort of thing happened to herself, it was almost karma. Erin didn't mind at all.

Erin: Hey, speaking of which, what's your name?

Tuber: "Uh, alright."

-He looks down at his Linoone-

Tuber: "Strip, I told you to stop throwing my tube..."

Strip: <Eheh... Cut me a little slack, it's pretty fun.>

-The Tuber then looks back at Erin-

Souta: "Oh, my name? It's Souta. What's yours?"

For a moment Erin was distracted by how Souta seemed to be talking to his Linoone, but quickly she got back on track.

Erin: Oh, uh, Erin!

She took out her Pokedex and read up on Souta's Linoone. The Pokemon seemed to be pretty strong!

Erin: Hey, if you don't mind, do you want to have a battle? It'll just be my Mudkip, Swampy, and your Linoone, but I think it will be a lot of fun.

-Strip gets an excited look on their face when a battle is mentioned-

Strip: <Battle? I'm up for one!>

Souta: "Oh, uh, sure, just let me get my tube..."

-He retrieves his tube, then he and Strip get into a ready position-

Erin: Thank you!

Erin gets out one of her umbrellas while Souta is getting ready. It was a blue one that contained her Mudkip. She proceeded to open it, and the Poke Ball flew out. Thankfully, the Poke Ball plopped down on the ground, and her Mudkip came out.

Erin: Swampy, are you ready to battle!

Swampy: <Always. Although I still do not understand your enthusiasm.>

Once Souta is ready, Erin shouts "Let's begin!"

Erin: Swampy, use Water Gun and create a slick!

Swampy complies, firing Water Gun at the Linoone's feet in an attempt to disrupt their balance.
