On the fifteenth of December, 2043, a man was admitted to a New York hospital, claiming that he had a terrible cough and issues with his balance. Upon inspection, the man was found, remarkably, to have no cuts or bruises what so ever on his body. He was given a room to stay in for the night for further inspection later on.
The next day, the hospital staff who were in contact with the man also reported the same symptoms of the man, along with reporting that any injuries they had had also healed.
That evening, the first man attacked a hospital worker, and ate her flesh.
The disease soon spread, with each victim losing their balance and developing a harsh cough within three days of contracting the disease, becoming aggresive and cannibalistic within five.
Within two years, the disease spread across the world, and only small groups of people were left. Some had an immunity. Others were just lucky. On the first of January, 2046, the current system of government was scrapped, due to no members left uninfected. The remains of humanity now scavenge from the remnants of society.
When the government was scrapped, it was declared a new day. Day 1. It is now Day 195. All over America, survivors are flocking to New York, following rumours of a safe bunker being constructed there. But the streets aren't safe. "Zombies", as they've been dubbed, roam the streets, infecting or killing any human they meet.

The Zombie Virus is transmitted by cough.
The Zombie Virus causes balance problems.
It increases aggression.
It also accelerates cell reproduction, quickly healing the body from injuries.
However, as a result of the above, much more food is required by the body, and human flesh is awfully easy to get. This, combined with the increase in aggression, leads to cannibalism.
