So.

I understand that mod is japanese.
I understand that the hip grapples are most likely modeled after the Code Geass slash harkens.
I understand that the player is wielding a katana and skinned to vaguely resemble a mecha.

I understand all of this.

HOWEVER!
All I can think of while watching that clip is:

Spiderman, spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can.
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes the Spiderman...

Actually it's taken directly from Attack On Titan, not Code Geass. :B

Understandable to think of spidey though. :>

Ars Magica stuff. They need nether quartz, which it seems we do not have.

I've gotten renewable glowstone up and running! for now it'll be slow. if I can get my hands on even one vinteum dust I can speed it considerably though. Turns out I was looking at the wrong recipe! Item repair is now possible thanks to MAGIC

I've learned from the test start, and this time I made sure to add a power draw to the nexus. wouldn't want it to explode again :P

I mean, I COULD be looking at an outdated recipe, so. I dunno.

I have a essence nexus and a dark nexus set up. seems string is amazing for squeezing out essence in large batches.

now I only need to automate production of string on a purely stupid level, and turn it all into high-end goods. mmmm, eyes of ender.

If it calls for nether quartz then you're looking at the newer recipe for 1.5; I believe the light nexus for 1.4.7 needs snow and glass instead. Vinteum won't appear anywhere in already generated chunks as the ID switch over the last server update made all the previously generated ore vanish.

Congratulations, you now have a half a stack of vinteum ore in one of your chests.

So I've been playing around on the FTB 1.5.2 Beta pack (with Gregtech) and, with the inclusion of Extra Bees in the latest build, decided to properly delve into Bees for the first time.

Fast forward a few days and I've managed to get myself a few alvearies with Ecstatic Bees producing redstone at an alarming rate which is then converted into soul sand (using Xenos Alkahest) and then centrifuged (using Gregtechs, er.. centrifuges) into oil. The oil goes into boilers and then steam turbines turn it all into EU at an estimated gain of 500k EU per redstone at a respectable 400eu/t.

I figure with some genetic engineering and a little expansion I could power by entire base off a few little redstone bees.

I've finally gotten around to moving the machines to my new base. Tomorrow I'll take screenshots of my current base then strip it of everything useful.

any zombie brains you can donate would be greatly appreciated

Ugh! I have a zombie floating aorund my base somewhere, I can't kill it, and I can't find it.

So for the past week I've been checking out Jadedcat's Magic Farm pack (available through FTB). I've heard people call the pack "Gregtech for agriculture" and I see their point.

Probably the most useful things to know to get through the learning curve:

MineFantasy pretty much circumvents the vanilla Minecraft material tech tree. You can't mine iron with stone; instead you need to make bronze tools, and getting to bronze tools requires getting a handle on the smithing system. After iron the tech tree continues into steel and more exotic materials. Leather must be tanned from hides (you need wood for a tanning rack, paper to gather salt, a pool of water and a knife) but you get more leather per animal (and not just cows). Also, the hounds in the game are neutral like wolves...except when they gather in large packs and gain a mean alpha hound.

Hunger Overhaul makes basic foods less filling, drains your hunger faster, adds negative effects for being too hungry or injured, and kills you when your hunger bar runs out no matter what difficulty you're playing on. Large stacks of bread and baked potatoes will still serve you well early game, especially if you find a village, but they're meant to be a stepping stone to all the more complicated food added by Harvest Craft, etc. (Hint: you need iron to make cookware.)

Familiar mods making an appearance include Buildcraft, Thermal Expansion, Forestry, Thaumcraft, Magic Bees (formerly Thaumic Bees), Xeno's Reliquary, Mystcraft, Railcraft, Applied Energistics and Minefactory Reloaded.

I'm having issues connecting to the server, is it my fault?
