Well assuming my stats get approved :) They can be seen on my Troper page by clicking name, at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/EmiyaWhite

I typed out a long history but am wondering if I could keep some of the details a mystery, so I did a short summary on the stats page.

Smash up job there Emiya[tup]

God this game has confusing rules for unarmed combat. The problem is that the minus symbol (-) is also used as a hyphen.

Take this section for example on damage.

  • attack: d0+1-d4 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 1

  • attack:d4+1-d6 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 2

  • attack: d6+1-d8 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 4

  • attack: d8+1-d10 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 6

  • attack: d10+1-d12 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 8

  • attack: d12+1-d20 body character punch or kick
  • damage : 10

Now what I think the rules is trying to say is that if your body stat is between d0+1 and d4 you are going to do one point damage. If it is d4+1 to d6 it is turn is going to do two points of damage and so forth and so on. But reading it as written it's saying that you need to make negative rolls to make an attack.

The book can't actually make up its mind on whether or not unarmed attacks do a fixed amount of damage based on where your body attribute is at (according to your table) OR...

"The Player or Director in charge of the attacking character rolls the damage for the attack. Spells have a set damage on the magic type rank. Most weapons used by Cast Characters also have a set damage number. Punches and kicks do an amount of damage equal to either a Body attribute roll or a Fighting skill roll."

While the table says "damage or bonus damage", the distinction is clear in that bonuses are preceded with a plus sign (as seen with thrown car/rock, or swinging a knife/sword/axe) and the things which are fixed damage (punch, kick, flamethrower, gun, rifle, a car running you over).

Oddly enough, the fighting skill gives a damage bonus to damage based on body. Regardless of what your fighting skill actually is at.

VOODOLLARS

To supplement the costs from pg 83 conveyed here, there is also pg 176 that is worth referencing. Taking classes in mundane skills, magic skills or magic types can reduce their voodollar costs.

In the core rule book it doesn't explain where people go when you use the Vanish spell. So I came up the concept of the Twilight as house rules.

[Excerpts forum post on Witchspiracy.com, dated march 31, 2009, written by “Theyre Among Us 379]

Almost all societies are religions have the concept of 'another place' that the mystically inclined can go to. We should not be surprised that witches have masted this. Many a time a witch has disappeared into thin air only to reappear at a later time of her. There is another plane of existence that they can travel to that normal people are unable to even perceive.

They must be capable of this. Otherwise how else they of pulled off their greatest trick? To convince the world that they never existed.

[Excerpts from The Complete Imbecile Guide To Basic Magic, By Bell Candle and Book publishes]

The Twilight, gift of curse?

As mentioned in the previous chapter the Material plane of existent intersects with the Mystic Void. The entropic ream of chaos and negative energy.

The Twilight acts as a sort of buffer zone between these two realities. A dark alternative version of the normal world in a constant state perpetual gloom and decay, hence the name the Twilight.

The Twilight in many ways resembles the Material ream. Inanimate objects cast 'shadows' into the Twilight. Living creatures become bright burning lights. The relative geography is the same. Time is variable however. At the witch's preference the rate of time can be altered. 20 minutes outside can mean five minutes in the twilight, or 20 minutes in the twilight can mean five minutes outside.

The Twilight can a be a life saver for many a persecuted witch looking for a quick escape or one that's is simply just looking for a bit privacy and quite.

However while a witch can stay there for a short time, the devouring nature of the void means a witch will one zap point for every five minutes spent there by her own clock.

Many witches dislike and even shun going into the twilight because of its draining qualities. Any children conceived in there are at high risk of developing the Mystic Void heritage. Regardless many a amorous young witch value it's secludedness and it has acquired a almost romantic quality to many.

Hi guys!

I've been going through the last couple of pages and I know it's not that big of a deal, but to keep your actions from looking like this:

  • Action!*

Put brackets around it, like this:

[=*Action!*=]

Decided to write up a half dragon Heritage. This counts as a Half Other Kin Heritage.

While known a savage creatures. Dragons have been know to take the form of human take humans as lovers throughout both mortal and magical history.

While a few monarchs claim that their great-grandfathers or mothers were Dragons taken human form. Most are renowned for being wayward lovers.

A young maiden or more rarely bachelor my have a tryst with a mysterious romantic suitor only to find themselves abandon with a strange babe in arms in the following months.

Half Dragons tend to have a mixed reaction in witch society. Many traditional and upper class witches look fondly on them, seeing it as a sign of extremely good breeding. While the average witch typically treats them with distrust if not outright and hostility.

Grand Elder Shu-Loa headmistress of the Dragon Stone School in Xanadu Northern China is perhaps the well-known half Dragon in the modern witching world.

Despite the name most Half Dragons almost universally resemble their human parent and whose dragon heritage may be more accurately one quarter or less Dragon. Is unknown if this is just a result of how the blood mixes or if the more dragon like live with their those closer to their nature as 'half humans'.

Advantages: have Dragons tend to be very forceful and determined and one extra dice type on their will dice. The also take 2 point less damage from heat and fire and while their cannot fly more than any other witch unaided have an affinity to flight and +1 to Reflex while in the air. Even if just being, throw, jumping or falling distances greater than 15 feet. They also get +1 to social roles dealing with upper-class traditional witches.

Disadvantages: Half Dragons get -1 to social rolls dealing with average witches and generally treated with distrust. Some renegade immortals may even be considered them valid hunting sport. Half Dragons also tend to have very standoffish and obsessive natures. While not naturally more aggressive than the average they will not back down if they feel they have been treated poorly. They are also liable to collect what ever they consider 'treasure'. Be it physical things such as Jewelry, C Ds, beanie bears or more abstract concept like having the most online friends or mastering every known kung fu move.
