Normal people probably can't get as strong as Saitama just by training, considering Superalloy Darkshine trained WAY, WAY more, and WAY, WAAYYY harder than Saitama ever did, and while he's strong, he's nowhere near Saitama's level.

I mean, I thought the reason was that Saitama ended up breaking the limits God places on all of His creations, because the training he did was just that far beyond what he should have been capable of handling; especially since it's been confirmed that his training regimen is actually physically impossible, because the AC and heating portions of it would actually kill you.

Pretty sure that other people besides Darkshine have trained harder. It's just not confirmed. But I'd imagine that Sonic, Bang, Lightspeed Flash, Atomic Samurai, and others have probably trained more intensively but also with a much higher degree of focus, like speed, or strength, or sword techniques.
Saitama was just a normal guy who decided to push himself as far as he could go in the only way he knew how, and then had a buffer overflow which set his physicals to Na N.

The theory I've seen the most is that Saitama is a Mysterious Being whose obsession is power itself. None of the other Mysterious Beings seem to be particularly special outside of their fetishes, so assuming the theory holds true, anyone could reach Saitama's level if they had an identical mindset.
Yeah, the idea is that he's the personification of killing giant monsters with one punch. That's why he has a weakness to mosquitos and small cats.
Basically he can only no-sell things that could genuinely harm him.

(2) As if it wasn't going to happen. The real concern is if the anime's popularity will die off in a 3-4 year hiatus like Haruhi did. Hopefully there's enough material to cover. Murata isn't finished with the Garou arc.... unless the second season builds up to Garou and ends with him meeting Saitama on the street, and continues with Garou's storyline in the third season.
