Most scanlation sites have the whole thing translated.

More of them than have the manga, even. 'Cause it's actually 100% legal.

Something I've always wondered: why did Saitama bother using Consecutive Normal Punches on Beast King when he effortlessly gibs Carnage Kabuto and Sea King (both of whom are way stronger) with one normal punch each later on? I guess there was no real reason NOT to use Consecutive Normal Punches but still...

Presumably because Beast King was using a spam attack and he wanted to show him how it's really done.

Saitama's kind of a perfectionist when it comes to his enemies.

Maybe it's because Beast King particularly irked him with how casually he offed his own allies.

I think it was just to establish that Saitama actually has moves aside from one punch.

But he doesn't, not really. He just punched faster.

He can defeat a foe in one move. Hence One "Punch" Man, it doesn't specify what kind of punch.

And how much punch it has.

Seriously he doesn't always kill.

I can't wait to see Two-Handed Consecutive Serious Punches, and how much of the planet it takes out along with the poor sod it's aimed at.

He uses Double Consecutive Normal Punches on Garou, does that count?

Well, no. That's what lead me to believe that the aforementioned move exists in the first place.

Reading the webcomic, Garou is a fascinating character. He really just hates bullies and see's the popular and powerful hero beating up the weak and hated villain as just another form of bullying. He seems to run off of a mild form of Blue-and-Orange Morality, given that he completely disregards the whole good vs evil dichotomy that makes good inherently the correct side to root for.

He seems to root more for whoever gives more effort. In most typical Saturday morning cartoons, you see the villain working away on his new diabolical plot of the week, then the heroes just casually stroll on by and defeat him and foil his plans. That and a lot of the time the writing is so poor as to make the heroes just really bland and uninteresting or sometimes downright douchebags, so people prefer to root for the villain, who actually has some character. I think Garou is the type who would root for Tom, Sylvester, Wile E. Coyote, and the like. Can't really blame him, since I do the same.

Well, yeah plenty of people root for the antagonist in chase cartoons. Garou is the kind of person who would cheer for the Joker and applaud his victory when he beats Jason to death with a crowbar though.

[up]I don't think so, because in this particular case, the Joker is the one who is almost never shown putting in any sort of effort into his schemes. Most of the animated incarnations of Batman focus on all the running around and detective work he has to do to fight crime, plus Batman has an actual fleshed out personality, which makes it somewhat easier to relate to him. That and he gets the stuffing knocked out of him quite a bit, as opposed to invincible never get more than a few bruises Saturday morning cartoon heroes.

Garou just didn't like the excuse that the heroes always win because justice. Batman wins because he works for it.

No he isn't. He roots for the bad guys because he empathizes with them for always losing, not because he loves brutality. 'Why would I cheer for the good guy when they always win? That's not fair.' He identifies more with the 'villain' because he also always loses and yet he's blamed for fighting back and defending himself against the 'good' kids.

I think it was just to establish that Saitama actually has moves aside from one punch.

Saitama doesn't have any "moves" besides his one punch. That's the point.

His "Serious Series" and such are meant to parody the over-the-top attack names you see in both the One Punch Man comic and every other Fighting Series shonen manga. It's a form of ridicule on the subject.

If life had been different he coulda be 'AS LONG AS I LIVE THERE IS NO EVIL THAT WILL STAND!'

But instead he chose a darker fate to sow, he liked the Villains because the heroes always win, which isn't unfair. He recognized the villains were the bad guys.

But he got bullied for it as a kid which only further drove him to the whole idea of being the Bad Guy. If he was gonna get beat up for liking the bad guys and then told he shouldn't defend himself because that is unfair. Why not be the bad guy?

Garou likes to spout "I AM EVIL, FEAR ME, MWA HA HA HA HA", but when chips come to down, he's didn't have the heart to do really evil things. Like hurting defenseless people or simply makes hero's removal permanent. Hell, even he's killing his "allies" more than he brutalize his "enemies".

So, yes, I tend to agree that he likes villain because they works more than heroes, although get beaten unceremoniously. It's like rooting for underdog. I think he'll hates Joker with passion.
