It's... an explosion, and then a bunch of people standing around. Oh, and an arm whose sleeve gets ripped up from one to the other. Certainly nothing indicating the actual trope without the caption; even if you know who the people on the right are, it just looks like someone (who looks like an ordinary military guy, judging by the sleeve) got caught in an explosion and was rescued by the superheroes.

I can see what it's trying to get across, but it's really weak...I'd be fine with pulling it.

It's a bad picture. Please pull.

[up][up] I kinda like that, and kinda don't...can't exactly say why I don't right now.

It's better than the current.

It's a girl sleeping, but I'm not sure it really illustrates the trope.

The cobwebs are the part that is supposed to sell the trope. I tried to find a pic with them actually on the girl, but no luck.

There are cobwebs on her pillow. Seems straightforward to me.

Does anyone think that the current pic is good or better than the suggestion? I'd rather have nothing than the current.

I don't.

Honestly, I think the current has the right idea, but bad execution. A dual image is a good idea, but it needs to clearly be from two very different time periods.

I don't really care for the current, but the people in the suggestion being cobwebbed but not looking aged bugs me. It's like they've been petrified.

I think the cobwebed people around the sleeping girl clearly illustrates Sleeping Beauty. Even if we don't use the suggestion, since no one seems to like the current may we please delete it?

This is current btw. Pretty bad.

See Willbyr's post.

You mean Sleeping Beauty, right? There's no reason for there to be cobwebs in Cinderella. Anyway I'd vote for it if we get around to having a crowner. That's three votes for getting rid of the current. Is that enough?

Why do people not like the Cinderella pic again?

Because comments like this one illustrate how not-apparent the trope is in it.

^ Not... really? What does not knowing your fairy tales have to do with illustrating a trope?

It is apparent to me.
