Moses had a Beyblade. Beyblades shaped history.

... What?

Well, nowhere in the Bible does it say that Moses didn't have a beyblade.

I'm pretty sure the 12th commandment was "Thou shalt not let it rip."

@dRoy - I've been thinking about picking up writing as a hobby, as a successful writer, do you have any advice on how to start?

So I haven't seriously played Psychonauts in about 11 years. I'm planning on finishing it this year. My old save was at Lungfishopolis, if anyone's familiar with the game. I'm about 14 hours in. Do you all think it would make more sense to pick up where I left off, or to start a new save?

Also, happy Easter everyone!

Happy Easter!

It's more limited than I'd like actually, especially regarding hair styles and clothing choices. But it's possible to optimize what's given by using the limited bonus pieces, or by applying colors and "sticker" on the surfaces that will allow for it.

Well, to be honest, as someone who still has their faith, I'm saddened to hear you do that. I can understand why you might, but I do hope you find your way back when you are ready, and if something caused you to lose your faith, I hope that that issue ends.

I wasn't offended. I get it, it can be hard, and there's very little that has ideal timing in life. I'm still pulling for you in any case.

In other news, I decided to complete the Black Eagles Lesbian Polycule and made Petra in Soul Calibur 6. I couldn't quite get the tattoo under her eye right, or certain other details, but I'm happy with it. It's kinda funny. Of all the characters from Fodlan, I made Saint Seiros... and Edelgard and the people closest to her. Hell, I'm even considering making Thunder Catherine next. I can't help it, I like both the warrior women of the Church, as well as the queer revolutionaries of the Empire.
This is why I claim Social Justice Paladin, and not Social Justice Warrior, in real life.

Next couple characters I'll try to make: Bernadetta, Shamir, and Catherine (fe3h), Kasumi (DOA).

I decided to make Bernadetta, Shamir, and Leonie, all of whom I'm really happy with how they turned out, and Catherine, who I'm not.

So, for almost half a year I've been trying to educate myself in science. I've always been interested in how natural world works, so I've been reading about a dozen books relating to science and math since that realization.

Turns out that this has been a massive struggle for my scientifically illiterate ass.

All right, let's understand how the universe and the creation of the world works. Let's give an astronomy a try-oh, it turns out that I need a base understanding of physics.

Okay, I will try my hands on physics-oh, I need understanding of math, especially calculus, got it -opens up a famous book on calculus - Goddamnit, now I need to know geometry too?!

Man. I have a LOOOOOONG path of learning ahead of me. XP

The way my college was built, our main hard science building meant the basement was physics, the first floor was math (and computer science), the second floor was chemistry, and the top floor was biology. I don't know if it was intentional, but it led to jokes about how each science is literally built upon another.

It's been a while since I've seen that strip. Also, I was a bio and psych student. Psych was on top of sociology, and on the same level as bio (in another building). A lot of the psych teachers were biopsychology focused (developmental, neuro, etc.), so I'd always make a connection in my head that was like a bridge between the two buildings' top floors.

dRoy here trying to become renaissance man. You go dude!

But yeah, it's not as easy as it sounds. Those old timey peeps who were experts n everything from physics, chemistry, mathematics to anthropology, literature and theology were evidently build different.

[up][up] Oh man. I actually tried to double major in psychology, but me being a poor excuse of a student I ended up failing that part.

If I went back to college now, I probably could have performed infinitely better because now I actually have more desire for education. XP

[up] Heh, if only I could. I'll be content with just not being scientifically illiterate. [lol]

Also, notice most of the Renaissance men were from before 20th century, after which scientific fields become too specialized and required far much more knowledge for that.

...Buuuuuut of course there are freaking monsters like Von Neumann and Oppenheimer. XD

I wound up double majoring in psych and political science instead, since I decided not to go the med school route. It actually wasn't biology that did me in, but chemistry. Huh. That might explain why I'm single actually.

I do like that I've got a breadth of knowledge and skills, but I've got more to go to be even better!

Learning is fun once you take out the pressure of being constantly tested on how well you do it and can go at your ow pace and follow you curiosity.

Heh, if only I could. I'll be content with just not being scientifically illiterate.

Hey, that's better than most people!

Also, notice most of the Renaissance men were from before 20th century, after which scientific fields become too specialized and required far much more knowledge for that.

I guess, though I feel like back in the day education was seen less of a meal ticket and more a worthy pursuit in it's own right. Nowadays a lot of people only seem to learn what they need to land a better job. Our education system seems to purge people out of curiosity.
