[up]Hollywood will never make a big budget movie about that guy, sadly. He deserves one, at least as much as Oskar Schindler did. Mind you, Raoul Wallenberg never got one either.

Not so much people, per se, but now that Downfall has shown that it is possible to portray loathsome characters onscreen without glorifying them or their cause, I think that Lawrence Wright's The Looming Tower could be cracking, if it was handled intelligently. A sequel that wasn't shite like ZDT would be cool too.

A historical figure I would like to see in in a film would be George Anson - his epic circumnavigation of the globe would be an awesome film.

Why not cinematize some of the Viking Sagas? Most of them probably were about real people.

Eugène François Vidocq, an accquaintance of Victor Hugos's who was the inspiration for both Jean Valjean AND Javert (and apparently also Batman, from what I've heard). He was a criminal who later became a police officer (although unlike Javert he never arrested people who stole out of personal need). Could be funny to have him make a cameo in stories set in that time period.
