Smash Brothers Newcomer Ideas.

Here my idea of who should be playable in the Wii U/3DS Super Smash Brothers game.

Might as well put that in the current topic.

You know, I figure this topic has value outside of the main SSB thread, so what the heck, let's contribute.

Obscure Nintendo-owned characters I'd like to see:

• Alexandra Roivas (Eternal Darkness): The plucky protagonist of Eternal Darkness is not especially speedy, but wields a magickal sword and powerful runes. Her A attacks are swipes with her sword. Her special attacks are Magick attacks—like lightning and barriers. For her Final Smash, she summons one of the three Horrors, which roams the stage independently of her, attacking her opponents, but which can be defeated like a normal enemy.
• Starfy (The Legendary Starfy): This cute star/starfish was once an Assist Trophy, but now he's his own character! He has a floaty movement style not unlike Kirby. He attacks using a range of spinning, stabbing attacks. For regular attacks, he just bashes stuff, but his special attacks do have some range! For his Final Smash—I'm thinking the Dragon Suit.
• Muddy Mole (Mole Mania): He may not have the best eyesight, but this mole's got bravery in spades! He moves slowly on ground, but one of his special moves is the ability to "burrow" into the stage to dodge and move quickly. It won't work on all platforms, however! He uses claw swipes for his basic attacks. In addition to burrowing, his specials include throwing cabbages and steel balls. Not sure on his final smash, though. (Maybe if I actually bother to finish the game, I'll know his 11th-Hour Superpower or something.)
• King Dynal (Fossil Fighters): While not the main character of his series, I think the mighty King Dynal is probably its best representative (since its mains are more on the level of Pokemon Trainer). He's an outer-space dinosaur who attacks with crippling bites and beams! His regular attacks are bites and swipes, while his special attacks shoot space layers and lay poison clouds. His Final Smash is the mighty Antimatter Ray, which lances the field with light!

I have some obscure non-Nintendo ones, too. But I'll save 'em for if we can get a genuine discussion going here.

All I want is Banjo-Kazooie. I really want them to be in Smash Bros. Just put them in guys! Please!

Tails (Sonic The Hedgehog) uses tail attacks. Final Smash is the tornado.

Dragonite and Scetile could easily work as pallete swaps for Charizard and Greninja.

Dragonite is easy, all we need to do is use Outrage for the side special and have him use Dragon Dance in the final smash to get a super mode similar to Charizard X's and we have it.

Sceptile can use Leaf Blade as an excuse for the stantard attacks. Energy Ball/Razor Leaf, Dig, and Leaf Storm can replace Water Shuriken, Shadow Sneak and Hydro Pump. With Mewtwo around, having the Mega Sceptile do a similar final smash as Greninja's is easy, all we need is him to mega evolve right after trapping the opponents and use the projectile on the tail as the last attack.

In terms of Assist Trophy representation, there's a blatant gap in the Donkey Kong franchise. The answer is simple: Rambi. He could function near identically to Gogoat.

Also, I could envision Duster from MOTHER 3. I can see it now; he appears, takes a deep breath, spins around, and brandishes his Wall Staples. Then he leaps to the top of the screen, and the staples start to rain down in straight lines, perpendicular to the stage. They'd have a minor meteor smash effect if an opponent is hit in the air, or they'd temporarily bury anyone who's hit on the ground. Sometimes, a staple could stick to the ground, and cause an opponent who steps on it to trip.

Characters that don't have dumb gimmicks and STILL end up being low tier anyway, barring Rosalina, would be nice.

There should be more DK characters.

I mean it's not like Donkey Kong is Nintendo's 4th/5th best selling franchise and their 2nd oldest franchise that has a lot of spinoffs and stars a wide variety of characters..... OH WAIT.

Barring that, Elma. Not Cross. Elma.

My main ones include:

Isaac from Golden Sun right? I agree with everything on that list except Klonea, though that's because I don't know much about him.

I agree, Elma over Cross. Personally I think we should discuss more third party characters. (Besides the obvious indies.) My choices are the following:

Namco Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia, Maybe a Soul Calibur or Tekken character?

Sega Vyse, Akira

Capcom Morrigan? Zero?

Square Enix A Dragon Quest protagonist, Crono

SNK (Longshot, I know) Terry Bogard, Haohmaru, Marcus? Athena?

Konami Snake, Simon Belmont, Bomberman

I purposely left Snake out because he is a veteran, and this is about newcomer ideas.

Well, since Ridley◊ already appeared in Brawl and would probably break the game; I nominate Hazama◊ to win by throwing knives using his Final Smash to troll people by K Oing them if it connects.
