Yeah, that father is a good one, once you get him drunk enough, so to speak. Or maybe not...
A lighter episode than the previous one, and Mashiro once more says things that are probably more profound than she realises. Or maybe she does. But I notice that as time goes by, she keeps more things to herself.
Check out my fanfiction!I want her return to be Deadpan snarking emotionless girl, she was cute and funny! Now She's not funny anymore and what's even worse she also disturbed Nanami and Sorata Moment!
Anyway Parents FTW

Wait a minute, isn't this the first time Mashiro's ever blushed over anything?
Episode 15: Fantastic. Presentation, story, plot progression, the comedy and heartwarming thumbs up to them and all the other jazz.
- My god, the character interactions are fantastic. Add Sorata's family to the mix and it becomes even funnier. "I think I understand how you adapted so well to Sakurasou" indeed.
- Seriously, awesome family. Exaggerated dad, trolling mom, even Yuuko was somewhat adorable this episode.
- This show's not letting up on the romance aspect.
- I gotta feel for Jin with that flashback they showed. Misaki reading the script and then her smile briefly disappearing... ouch. It's also good that Misaki's come to her senses thanks to Mashiro's unintentionally enlightening comments.
- One great Mashiro x Sorata moment, but to even out the last episode, this one's got a number of Sorata x Nanami. Seriously, Sorata's mom approves of Nanami, Nanami knows how to cook like Sorata's mom does, and they have this heartfelt bond as fellow hard workers. Gah. All of that makes her eventual "defeat" all the more painful.
- Some random things I want to point out, though frankly this episode was so full of high points I would have practically list everything were it not for my self-restraint:
- I am amused that Sorata and Maid-chan are on such friendly terms.
- "I want to prove that hard work can pay off." n_n That said, I must see Sorata and Nanami's voice acting practice sessions. Preferably ones with embarrassing dialogue.
- It's nice to see Sorata looking forward to his presentation. He shouldn't fumble with the papers this time.
- Mmmm... manservice. XD
- Mashiro had a bunch of cute callback(?) moments this episode. Like when she copied Yuuko saying "I don't understand where [Jin and Misaki's] relationship is heading, or when she said Meatball Beam on the mountain. Stuff like that I appreciate a lot.

Episode 16. Overall, a rather positive episode. Then again, next is Valentine's Day, so heartbreak is expected.
Sorata didn't see what Mashiro was going to do the second she walked out of the room? It's one of those things he really should've learned by now. She switches between moron and enlightened at a coin toss. Well, mostly she's not aware if she's being enlightened, and it's rare as it is, but anyway.
The rehearshing was obvious. There's no way she'd confess to him at the table like that, especially with Valentine's Day up and coming around the corner.
"You've got issues, so that's fine!" What's worse is that it's absolutely true. Yuuko and Mashiro are hilarious together.
Check out my fanfiction! So, Sorata actually has an Idiot Ball? I thought it's just normal teenage behavior, though. Just saying...
You forgot something:
A certain English girl comes back to Japan for Valentines Day for a certain Dragon guy...
Sorata:Would you like dinner? Bath? or maybe...
But Mashiro strikes back! and her power is over nine thousand!

I didn't forget it. I carefully left it out. And the teenagers I grew up with were smarter.

Check out my fanfiction!I Love/hate this show.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntIndecisiveness is a crime! Okay, fine, technically, that's ambivalence.
Yuuko really has become more likable. Weird.
That wife and husband conversation between Sorata and Nanami was fantastic.
Next episode will hit hard. Someone's going to get hurt... I expect a double whammy.

Episode 17: Valentine's Day.
Well, that double whammy was about Rita and Misaki. The lead, as usual, delays. It's really starting to get thin.
Rita is hilariously aggressive. She really should learn to tone it down, though. It's not as if she needs to make her intentions any clearer. Currently the most interesting relationship for me. Somehow I get the feeling Akasaka likes her better when she leaves, but not necessarily that she leaves. If that makes sense.
Good show of I Want My Beloved to Be Happy.

Check out my fanfiction!Episode 17:
- Misaki's chocolate sculpting skills = Level 100.
- Mashiro... got ready by herself.
- Rita's advances are always entertaining. This time involved a toolkit. Yeah. It doesn't end well.
- Damn, you gotta feel for Miyahara this episode. Dude wanted to help the girl he liked but he knew he wasn't the one. ;_; Good show, my friend.
- I knew the confession on the bike was going to be fake, but dang, it moved me.
- "She's so far ahead that I can't see her... but it's the same for her. She can't see me." That's a great step, if you ask me.
- Aaaaand Jin continues to hurt Misaki. To be fair a chunk of the fault lies with Misaki.
- "I'm even more alive!" That's shipping fuel, right?
- Sorata actually picked up the hints? No! Stay dense, boy! :P
- The next episode seems like it'll be about Misaki. So, will the alien get to see pretty stars or just the darkness of space?

About Rita's advances, I think she actually does reach him. However, not in the way she intends to. Someone who's as aggressive as she is is easy to turn away if you've got a strong enough will. It's also very hard for him to judge how serious she is about it. However, the disappointment she shows when she fails is harder to turn away. It does show a genuine interest from her part, and I think he realises it. Generally speaking, the problem there lies in if she can stand to endure until he comes around. That can take a while, if it happens at all.
Check out my fanfiction!I ship Nanami/Sorata so hard. Chances are I'm doomed, but damn, I can't help myself.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntBoth ships were rather successful in this past episode, IMO:
Nanami's confession was real, its just that.... In a way... She is the kind of person who can only spit out the truth when they can easily pass it off as a lie if they get flustered. I wholeheartedly understand that.
Mashiro.... Yeah. When someone basically is the premise of the show.... OUT OF THE WAY! BEEP BEEP.
Happens to be known as Walrus Jones in other circles. She most certainly reached him! But just like with Jin and Misaki, their relationship is at a low point.
Comrade! This is why I dread the results of the audition. It's okay if she passes, but if she fails...
Episode 18.
"Are you pushing, tickling, or fondling me?"
"Which do you want?"
You just knew they couldn't let a happy ending of the episode be. But really, demolishing the orphanage? Well, dorm, but whatever.

Check out my fanfiction!I am so touched. When Mashiro came to Sakurasou she were just kid who wouldn't even wear panties, and look now! There is proactive young lady in spring of her life with hilarious sense for humor and ability recognise when she should pretend to be embarased(she need improve her acting skill though)! Papa is so proud!
( and ) But no metter how proud I am, can I join Nanami/Sorata shiping brotherhood? Please.
edited 12th Feb '13 7:37:53 AM by Tenzen12
All are welcome in the Nanami/Sorata brotherhood. Heaven knows she needs all the support she can get.
Anyway, episode 18! D'aww.
- Now it's Misaki avoiding Jin? Oh boy. Good thing that got resolved.
- Tsundere ex-president is tsundere.
- That was actually a pretty good fistfight. Err, beating.
- Dear god that Nanami/Sorata romantic tension topped with delicious Mashiro jelly. Yum.
- Plan A/B/C will never get old. If you don't remember: Plan A is, well, Plan A, B is "say we're dating", and C is "cut up person".
- Seriously, Mashiro pouting, getting embarrassed about her panties getting seen, immediately agreeing to draw promo art for Sorata... it's really cute! Not to mention "are you pushing, tickling, or massaging me?". Ehehe.
- "In four years, I'll have become a scriptwriter worthy of Kamiigusa Misaki." There was painful honesty, bold declarations, and a romance finally coming into fruition. Fantastic confession/proposal.
- And it only took breaking Fuuka's heart to do it. :P I seriously feel sorry for that girl though. That was one sad break up.
- I can see that Misaki and Jin take after their parents.
- One of my favorite scenes is Nanami grabbing Misaki and forcing her to "take off into outer space!"— it's a great, thematically resonant callback.
- Hermit teacher in the flashback was a cool old guy.
- Yuuko didn't pass (thus wasting a defective confetti ball)... which might be a good thing now that Sakurasou's getting demolished. Okay, it's probably not gonna happen one way or another, but it catches my interest.

If by orphanage you mean the Sakurasou dorm, no, because it hasn't been demolished yet.
EDIT: Well, now my post looks awkward.

Episode 20.
Rita vs Maid-chan, part... Dunno. They've been at it a lot. It's also nice to see a focus on Dragon and a little more revealed about him. It also shows proof that he does actually respect her opinion. As long as she stays away from flirting.
Poor Nanami. They just won't allow her any success at all.
But I get the feeling the series is somehow slowing down. It feels like less is happening. Probably not true, but it seems more like singular events are more dragged on with not much development.

Check out my fanfiction!I am very sad panda
At least Maid-chan cheered me a bit.
Maybe if Sorata casted Nanami in his game...
edited 26th Feb '13 6:57:46 AM by Tenzen12
Notice here the similarity between Maid-chan and one of Dragon's old friends.◊
Also, she was the last one to disappear among his friends. This friend of Ryuunosuke must be so important to him that when she left, he came to hate girls.
