A manga about an albino Kitty Pryde, a teleporter in a crow mask, and glowing fish.

Oh, you want more detail? Fiiine...

Tokyo ESP starts with the protagonist, the white-haired Rinka Urushiba, waking up and immediately falling through her apartment floor. Through a few quick flashbacks, we find out that the previous night, she had spotted some glowing fish flying through the sky, and when she got close, one of them jumped into her. She also met a boy with a teleportation power, who claims the entire thing is a miracle, and now they need to be heroes to save the city from less scrupulous espers.

While it starts off absolutely hilarious, it gets pretty dark at times. We're at chapter 22 right now, but each chapter is almost fifty pages long, so we're farther along than you'd expect.

It also seems as though it's coming to a conclusion. I give it until chapter 30 at most, but more likely closer to 25.

Okay, so it looks like my "chapter 30" prediction is more likely to come true, considering how we've just hit 24 now.

But yeah. No posts in a quarter of a year? Does anybody else (other than Discar and myself) read this?

I do, although the Reachers and Espers scanlations are so jaw-droppingly bad that it takes much of the fun out of it. Which is a damn shame, considering how much fun there is to take away.

Yow, it's been so long since the last update I think I just need to re-read the entire series.

That's a good idea; I'm a bit fuzzy on the first five volumes now that I think about it.

Well, caught up again. And I'm not sure it's close to ending, actually. We still don't have an answer on the "shadow council" who started the civil war and stole the tablet in the first place are. That could be handled in a chapter or two, but I would prefer if they took out the Professor, had a few breather chapters, then brought out the new bad guys.

Really, considering how Ga-Rei was set up, just because it seems to be close to climax doesn't mean it is actually close to climax tongue

An interesting development.

...Well that was a quick ending.

There seemed to be some implication on the last page of a sequel series; is anybody able to translate the Japanese text there?

It's not the end. It says "Part 1 end." There are apparently raws up to chapter 34.

Part 2 has started, with a new protagonist who looks a lot like Rinka. Hopefully that's a plot point, but it seems to just be Only Six Faces.

Well, Ga-Rei had plot point of someone looking identical to Yomi, but thats because she looked exactly the same :P

Only Six Faces seems to be the case. I had wondered at the start of the chapter whether it would be Rinka in disguise, but this became increasingly unlikely within the first dozen pages.

Tokyo ESP appears to be getting an anime.

Also, there's been a new chapter since last posted.

Ch 31 came out recently. and the raw is up to Ch 47. the current arc will end at ch 39. ch 40 to 47 is the on-going flashback arc showing what Azuma and Rinka have been doing since they left tokyo. And also this manga loves to throw real world cameos, i mean i ve already spotted Steven Segal, john travolta, Leoniadas, the entire navy seal team from "tears of the sun", the lead analyst from "Zero dark thirty" to name a few.

Damn looks likes Vi-scans is dropping Tokyo ESP due to it being licensed. Sucks since Ch36 is when Rinka and Azuma comes back . Judging by the raws ch36 to ch49 is going to be epic.

Haven't read the stuff for a long time now that I don't remember where I last stopped.

Saw a pic of the first episode floating around. Is that me or does a certain girl there look like Yomi?

She also sounds like Yomi, is named Yomi, and spends her scene talking to Kagura...

Watched "White Girl" and I saw a lot of cameos, including the Red Shirt Army of the 1st Division.
