Usually not. If a fight is going on longer than twenty five seconds AFTER the first Mek is used, you're probably not five-on-five fighting, which is where Mek is most useful. Mek is also strongest as a midgame pushing powerspike, and tends to be a first major item. Having two fast Meks is simply too much wasted gold.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.No. Two is maybe possible, but extremely dodgy. Three is a flat-out terrible idea.

So, I just started playing Dota 2 again after 1 year of, well, not playing Dota. So far I'm enjoying it again, and I learned a couple of things:
1. I suck at positioning
2. You forget everything (except abilities and items) when you don't play for an year.
3. Dota is so much more punishing than LoL.
4. Dying is bad.
5. TPs are love, TPs are life.
So, does anyone want to help me get back in shape? My handle is Logique.
EDIT: Damn, I can't do markup.
EDIT2: Here's my dotabuff if anyone's interested.

Well, you'll have to be a wee bit more specific if you want our help.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Well, I'm on phone and I accidentally pressed the send button, so now my post should make s little bit more sense
So, what are the stereotypes for each of the regions? What I've gathered from a casual reading of Reddit is that SEA is a cesspit of people going nuts and insulting each others' mothers, US East is full of people raging at each other, and Europe is where, like, the skilled people are.
I mostly play on US West, and it's decent. Lot of people who don't speak English, but the people who do speak English are usually pretty nice. On the other hand, US East is more toxic than Chernobyl. I even have a lower winrate there.
Yeah, I saw someone in a Reddit thread describe US West as being "laid back."
Strangely, I seem to have a much higher winrate in East (58.82%) than in West (42.86%).

I used to consider gold loss on death to be a terrible system. Then I learned that you can buy items from the base shop anywhere on the map. Now, I consider it a good way to encourage ganks and to slightly punish players with a lot of gold lying around. Yes, just because of that one bit of information.
Of all the MOBAs I've played, Dota 2 feels the slowest paced and the one where it's easiest to survive a gank. Likely because you can't stack ridiculous spell damage like you can in LoL clones. In any case, I consider the relatively slow pace to be an advantage.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Dota 2 actually has the hardest-to-survive ganks, because it is the most punishing if your spacing is off. Dota 2 also has the most ways of initiating unseen, by range or invisibility.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Wow. So all this time, I've been playing in this 'cesspit'. I'm starting to wonder if me holding onto my sanity has been a miracle this way......
Has there been a place stereotyped as 'Really friendly zone'?
... No?
From my experience, EU West tend to have drunk russians who demand that you speak russian. I guess that's a stereotype.
That said, there are good russians.

As the saying goes, "Online, anonymity breeds contempt." Too many people turn into dicks the moment they go online, simply because of the anonymity granted. I mean, sure, there are still a lot of friendly people, but something as competitive as Dot A (or dare I say it, League) is bound to attract the dickish loudmouths, even in a laidback server like US West.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. It's a game where a single bad teammate can cause four decent players to lose horribly, and where the winner can become obvious at fifteen minutes out of forty-five. It's like the genre was specifically designed to breed toxicity.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.The reason I really only like playing in 5-stack queues, at least as far as ranked goes.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.@Logique: I feel ya. As I mentioned a few posts before yours, I've been away for 6 months and it's much the same for me (granted, I've been playing vs. bots but they're really poor substitutes). I tilted a lot in particular today.
@Pannic: SEA isn't quite THAT bad; yes, there are occasionally griefers, but otherwise they're mostly civil. The only other server I've played is EU West, where 2 out of 3 games had leavers when we started losing, so I'm never playing there again.
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromPUDGE WARS COMING BACK BITCHES.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Soon I can have Hero Line wars again. and there shall be much joy.
And my Elemental TD.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Yeah, I've just been mostly looking for people to play Dota with lately. I mean, if you want to party up with me, just send me a friend invite. My dotabuff/steam and stuff is above.
I'm rather confused. Couldn't you already make custom games for Dota 2?
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.You COULD, but that feature wasn't officially supported yet. You couldn't actually play them iirc.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I wish someone would take up and make a story campaign based on the DOTA lore.
You could play custom games, but you needed to download a separate client (aka the workshop tools). I remember playing a game of Pudge Wars like a year ago.
Mekansm cannot heal those affected by a Mekansm within the past 25 seconds. Mekansm's CD is 65 seconds. Could a two or even three Mek lineup be viable?
