Other people like Amending Fences too. I am entirely comfortable being a minority.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I liked it too, but I can understand Tobias' criticism.
So I take it you want Tirek to be reformed, Tobias?
Optimism is a duty. Not necessarily but I'd love to see the effort made. We know so little about his relationship with his brother; I feel like there's room to build a solid character from there.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm with Tobias on the physical conflict issue. I don't see this show as something that needs an escalating arms race of stuff to beat your opponent over the head with. If I wanted to see something like that, I'd go back to, say, Gurren Lagann or something. (That was off the top of my head, I'm not good with examples here.)
Also, I would love for Scorpan to make an actual appearance. Maybe he can tell us more about the original conflict between Tirek and the ponies. Or about Tirek in general. Or himself. I've just been curious about him ever since he was mentioned in S4.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I'm confident Scorpan will make an appearance, it was the largest plot thread left hanging last time, and it just begs for exploration in a follow up episode.
Optimism is a duty. It's not a spoiler in the traditional sense, but the implications could be interesting if it is. The Gameloft app updated for Hearth's Warming content, and among the update is two questlines. One is based off "To Change a Changeling", but the other appears to be entirely new.
Lyra & Bon Bon Save Hearth's Warming Eve: Dr. Whooves has opened a portal to the past, to observe the Hearth's Warming Eve legend. But things went awry and he accidentally released the Windigos! Only Bon Bon and Lyra can come to the rescue and send back the Windigos before they ruin the holidays for everypony!
I find this claim that only Bon Bon and Lyra can defeat the Windigos questionable. And that it also fundamentally undermines the spirit of Hearth's Warming.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Sounds like character specific fanfic to me.
Optimism is a duty.As a heads up, there are a ton of leaks going around, from the same source that provided detailed and accurate information about The Movie. A description of every season 8 episode was leaked. Friendship is Magic is ending with season 9. There will be a 3D reboot film in 2019, followed by a 2D television series in 2020.
If that's true - I tend not to put a lot of stock in claimed leaks; they're little better than rumors - then it makes sense. Kids who grew up watching the show are going to be teens or getting close to it by the time season nine closes, and for a series that's as kid-focused as My Little Pony is, the ship's already sailed on getting out before Continuity Snarl sets in.
I'd love for Friendship is Magic to be like The Simpsons and just keep going forever, but I can understand the logic in closing out the series and starting over with a fresh slate for a new generation of children.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I haven't looked at the leaks themselves but one or two people mentioned that Tirek isn't brought up at all. If it is the same person who leaked the movie, then they might not still have a job so that isn't necessarily a good enough reason to believe it.
This song needs more love.Alternately, they could make a new series for a new generation of children and then keep making this series as well for me, personally. And it should have all the things I want to see.
If they are true, I would be disappointed if Friendship is Magic ended right before its tenth anniversary. I don't disagree that they should end it before it becomes the Simpsons but geez, at least give it that.
This song needs more love.Would a 200th episode in season 9 satisfy you, instead?
Optimism is a duty.As a heads up, episodes 6, 7, and 13 of season 8 have leaked, though without background music and with incomplete foley.
A nice, round 10 would be nice, but 9 is perfectly fine as well. I mean, how many kid's shows make it to 9 seasons, even if they're Merchandise-Driven?
Oh God! Natural light!Update, leaked episodes are 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13
There are also some EQG spoilers. Most of which is not that interesting, but there is one huge thing.
EDIT: Also episode 8 I guess.

Could you tell us the details of these spoilers?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? There are some leaked model sheets for EQG. One of them depicts Sci Twi as a pony. She's regular unicorn Twilight, but wearing glasses. Oddly she doesn't have her ponytail, but it might not be finalized.

OK, decided to be a bad little boy and look at the new season 8 intro.
It basically follows the same beats and transitions, but the content and characters are so radically different that simply describing it would basically spoil the entire thrust of Season 8. For potential legal and not-being-a-jerk reasons I won't post it here.
But I will say that it's a great representation of the way the show and characters have grown and evolved 8 seasons in. They also use the redesigned Canterlot throne room from the movie for the familiar last shot.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWithout having watched it, I'm guessing the Pillars of Harmony show up in the new intro?
Optimism is a duty.(I forgot what thread I was in. Sorry.)

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...@Sigmasonic X: Maybe that means the Humane 7 will come over to the pony world and turn into ponies? That's very similar to an idea I've wanted to see (switching the pony versions and human versions), so I hope it means what I think it does.
probably just Sci Twi and Sunset, though.
Optimism is a duty.
Pretty much every fan I've interacted with outside of these forums still holds the season four finale as the gold standard, so yeah.
