Don't recall if I posted it, but I completed MOTHER 1, GBA fan translation.
Queen Mary's nightmares made me cry dammit. Also, the final dungeon was much harder than anticipated.
Need to curb my Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! and get back to seriously working on Earth Bound now.
Also, M4 is still a thing? Has there been any word on a release date yet? <can't actually go look myself due to bad internet>

Also, be careful about using PK Thunder on the boss, it causes it to malfunction and go berserk if you do it too much.

This goes without saying, but make sure you have plenty of Jerky, preferably Double Jerky if you can get it, along with some bombs. If you're having Lucas carry something important, Boney makes a great item caddy.
Actually, what are your party's stats? Maybe we can help and see if you're underleveled or not.

Man, in my first playthrough of Mother 3, I remember getting lost at around that point, so I just explored. I somehow managed to rescue Duster in Saturn Valley and defeat the Mecha-rilla on the mountain before actually finding Kumatora again.

So Mato has recently been streaming the beta tes for version 1.2 of the MOTHER 3 fan translation patch. It's actually been pretty interesting as he has been talking about some of the various problems that arose during the hacking period and he has been showing of a bunch of neat little hidden secrets in the game.
Did they fix Duster's battle sound effect glitch?
Yep. For the few times that Mato was able to combo with Duster (Or as he is known in this game "Jeffman!") I was able to hear different bass sounds compared to his normal combo.
It's been 25 years since MOTHER was released in Japan.
