Neeehahaha!
Episode 12 Livestream: Kyo Ani pussied out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0Episode 12. In which things add up.
Acting chuuni won't help. Opening the blinds does.
"You get kinda weird at the start of every term." I was just about to say the same. She likes to dress up.
And that guy never get recognised. Who was it anyway?
Ah, Kazari's as lovely as always, that love expert. For the little screentime she has, she fills it out so well. I want more of her.
Shinka and Sanae are so well-tuned to each other. And it's kind of funny how they have a relatively normal conversation while wrestling. Well, not with each other, but still. Or does that make it funnier that they're talking with someone unconcerned about their antics?
But it's not just those two, the entire group has pretty good chemistry across the board.
And Sanae is less impressive than Rikka.
Anyway, I like how Yuuta scolds Shinka for being nosy, right before asking her what she knows. They have this nice tsundere-like friendship.
Even though I already knew it, Shichi has surprisingly long hair.
Yeah, Chihiro being a guy was kind of predictable. Good looking, too.
Did they really think they'd actually achieve anything at all by revealing that they had spied on everything?
Most certainly. Lots of new pussies popped out.
Check out my fanfiction!I also should've follow this thread until i see the episode of this show too!
Ren Finale:
- Behold Chimera's glowing eyes of doom!
- Changing appearances at the start of the semester is a skill that Shinka honed on her own.
- Makoto got darker over the summer. Pretty nice. And he also found love. Good going.
- Ah, Love Master. You're always so amusing.
- Thinking the same dirty thoughts mean Shinka and Sanae truly are in sync with each other.
- Sanae has different attack patterns. Remember that.
- Heh, Rikka and Satone really are true friends now.
- Yuuta did get around to saying sweet nothings. Except...they were sweet somethings.
- Shinka must have conveyed the thoughts of a lot of viewers watching this episode. I'm not bummed about it, though.
- Ah, they're running away again.
Happy end.
Well, of course it was going to be a fake-out! It's Kyo Ani! We still got one of the most adorable young love couples in anime existence, and they did share 2 confident cheek kisses!
Eh, I'm not really that disappointed with the cop out. At least it's not as terminally egregious as some of their others.
So, I'm wondering. Considering that the series had two seasons now, does this mean we will get a movie in the similar KyoAni style? Not just a recap film but a new film.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Hyouka was just following the novels, which are still ongoing. Chuunibyou had no restrictions, and even though the anime is only loosely based upon it, Yuuta and Rikka still kiss in the L Ns.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0True, but considering that they haven't and probably never will make Hyouka 2, judging the piece strictly as a work on its own, the ending feels rather flat. Like there was all this build up that essentially went nowhere.

Lol, what.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Let's be honest, that anime resolved nothing, so some manner of follow-up makes sense. Though I'd thought they'd just let it die, since it tanked pretty bad in sales.
For the record, the Tamako Market movie is called Tamako Love Story. News of it has been floating around for a while.

@[[Anime/Hyouka]]'s ending: I think it's very well done, since Hyouka has always been about atmosphere and subtle things. I see why some might disagree but that's for another thread.
Ren's ending basically resolved all romantic tension between Yuuta and Rikka, which means that the two of them kissing sometime after the ending (in private) is a perfectly valid Head Canon. Thus, I see Kyoani's move at disrupting the kiss scene as a dick move.
Well, there never really was much in the way of romantic tension in the first place. Even Sophia never really felt like a threat. Always felt like it was more of a question of how it would happen rather than what would happen.
I think Shichi worked simply because she wasn't a threat. That storyline instead focused on one downside of a love triangle, which is much too often just done away with, after the fighting is over with. I mean, other shows, like Nagi no Asukara, do handle it well, but in comedies like this one there's usually just tension of who gets to be the lucky one, and once that's over with, any fallout is swept under the rug. This was pretty much specifically about that, which means it's less about her stealing Yuuta from Rikka, and more about Shichi finding happiness.
Or something.
Check out my fanfiction! To be fair, she deserves alot of credit for how awesome she was about it, esp considering all the help she gave Rikka and all.
I kinda liked the message of the first season that it was ok for them to go at their own pace, so I found this ending consistent with that, although I can see how people wouldn't like it. I liked that they were friends as much as a romantic couple, so this kinda seemed like an extension of that.
Alot, you said?
But yeah, that's part of it.
A lot of romance stories tend to forget that you just don't get good couples that aren't also good friends. Or at least not lasting ones. And the slow pace isn't really annoying since it's not something forced to prolong the story or anything like that. It's just how they are. Both of them.
Check out my fanfiction!Someone on /a/ noticed something: Satone hugs a lot of people, and nobody ever hugged her back.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0That's kinda... sad. T_T
People very rarely hug in anime, period. Those who do are energetic people like her, or the situation demands it several times over.
Check out my fanfiction!Nibutani and Dekomori spend a lot of time with their hands on each other....
And wrestlers hug all the time.
Check out my fanfiction!Episode 12: In which not much happens.
Nibutani for best wingman, with Sophia for second best. Though Shichimiya is the best girl! Sucks that she got shafted (episode 11 handled her love issues poorly)... coughAUroutecough
Congrats to Isshiki, by the way.

Yeah, gotta say, Shinka is definitely one of my favourite friend characters. It wouldn't hurt to expand a little more on her interests beyond the friendships, but she's still clearly her own character without being just a friend and nothing more in the story.

Episode 11: Nibutani slide-tackle!
That wasn't the most satisfactory conclusion for Shichimiya's love problems. Doesn't seem to be that effective too. Ah, well, at least Nibutani and Kumin were there to make up for the missing awesome.
