Episode 10: Rather enjoyed this Nishizono-centered ep. The girl's conversations with Riki are interesting, and quite a lot if it amusing such as their discussion on rice balls. Contrary to what I expected she also didn't join the Little Busters baseball team, though she is part of their circle now.
That dramatic build up with the book seems to have been wasted. It was a simple misunderstanding. I expected it to be played for how it made Nishizono's over-analysing look silly or malicious, but I guess... It's just a moderately long but minor device to get us to the very overplayed but shorter part where Riki gets to look at her book.
Okay... You know I probably would have been happier if she just accepted the invitation at the start and they played baseball for the rest of it.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."It also showed that Nishizono does not exactly have faith in people, so I'd say that that portion was not a waste.
Episode 11.
Due to how much better the characters worked when they were challenged by something, put in an unfamiliar situation and thrown off balance I'd like to suggest that the setting of Little Busters be shifted into a much darker world. Like the Nasuverse, where there is always great evil to fight!
Well, the flaws still show in the execution, and how disconnected it can feel.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."I couldn't remember that bird in the VN, if JC Staff added this, well at least they found a decent reason to extend the courage test to a whole episode. Masato and Kengo choosed the Broes before hoes option and I think the principal office thing was better when it's Offscreen Moment of Awesome but arm wrestling with ghosts was also good.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)Kurugaya is too much.
I really don't like it when the female characters get that rapey.
No-one even called her out for it either.

"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."More like, they didn't dare to call her out. And her actions wasn't that bad, it would be rapey if she would grope her. If you count the scaring part, Rin did called out for her.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)If the studio added the bird, I'd take away points from them. :( It was touching at the last minute, but all these animals in the show that have sentience seems a bit much.
Episode 11: Good enough. I'm not gonna lie though, that deal with the bird was kind of BLAM-y. Still suffers from the cut-and-paste feel too, though the scenes themselves are fine.
I find it weird that the next episode preview is for Episode 10... fansubber's mistake, probably?
The courage test is omitted in the 434. and 697. cycle. Masato and Kengo didn't enter the principal room 298 times. Rin didn't call her cat 325 times. Kurugaya didn't peek at Komari's panties 35 times.
It was probably a mistake.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)Uhh... huh? Uh huh. Okay.
.........
... what?
Haruhi joke, I'm guessing.
Oh sorry, I didn't get that it was a joke. I'm not on my game today.
Episode 12 seems to start off the next big dramatic arc. Also, Nishizono is an official member! Yay!

Again, what does it mean? I can only expect another anti-climax at this point.
I also have trouble believing rowdy high school age students would enjoy sitting down to write poems for an afternoon of their own volition.
Yes, my suspension of disbelief is weak when I'm not having fun.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Kyousuke-grade charisma apparently.
Episode 12: I find myself enjoying the series a bit more, which probably means I'm warming up to it as opposed to it actually getting better because I still do notice a bunch of stuff that the show could really improve on (like Riki's narration for instance). Still, this episode is among the better ones.
Nishizono is adorable though. Her vaguely magical circumstances has got my interest, though said interest required some effort on my part. At the very least it doesn't look like it's going to be more of the Komari drama narm.

Key stuff always has some fantasy in it.
Yeah, I know, I'm fairly certain there's going to be a time loop or something to that effect.
I've been spoiled that things seem to change between routes, suggesting it's not a straightforward time loop.
I'm also under the impression that they aren't in the real world, and we may be dealing with a constructed world quite similar to Angel Beats!.
If that stuff is completely wrong someone should probably let me know so that I don't get a big letdown when I find out the twist.
Interesting-sounding hints are also welcome with me, especially at this low point where we're halfway through a series and I don't really get it.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Asking for people to correct you if you're wrong is cheating. If you're right, then nobody says anything.
I could look it up, but that sounds like cheating.
Sigh... Well I guess I was already going to sit through the whole thing no matter what.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Yeah, that's what I thought too. Time loop with differences in each loop and a dream world that's most probably Riki's, who's probably actually in a hospital and all his friends are gone or dead.
Well that's certainly a depressing theory.
Episode 9: Decent watch. The ojou and her posse were kinda entertaining, and the thing with the cafeteria was... okay. Hmm. Can't really say I found anything else noteworthy. Oh and this show's going to have a time loop, won't it.
