Doesn't look like I recieved my package yet...oh and I guess: Meta-Wabbit!
It's meat on a stick...so, yes.Okay, what we/I could gather so far:
— the paper strips form a URL
— the first part (thus) is obviously "http://"
— gathering from that, the text seems to be simple sans-serif font at ~109px
— the first letter could either be an "m" or "in"
— another part could be "arkim" or "angm"
— so far there doesn't seem to be any discernable TLD (like ".com")
— Feetontheceiling's and Guyshane's strips were both the same, the latter only mirrored
Also those who get a strip:
— Use adequate lighting
— Make several shots just to make sure
— Rather use bigger resolutions (we can always downscale but upscaling gets messy/pixelated)
— Straighten the paper down flat and shoot straight down, use as small angles as possible

Programming and surgery have a lot of things in common: Don't start removing colons until you know what you're doing.Great advice for the shots! Nanners and I thought the end of hers resembled a ".com", though.
I wonder if the first person to get theirs over at uF received a url piece, too - that'd be really handy to have if it's not just another copy.
Ah, interesting things occured while I was away!
It's good that we're recieving the packages now, but I wouldn't say we're quite to the "next phase" yet. I'm guessing that happens when we get the URL.
Also, we should be careful with hiring Poirot. Assuming he IS Poirot himself, he might not want to be found out as someone from the Other Side. While most of the intruders seem very bad at blending in, the "Leave us alone" letter to Joe makes me guess that they don't want to have their identities revealed. We can't let Poirot know we know who he is.
"We're home, Chewie."Wait, what's going on here?
My dad (the rabbit with a chainsaw up there? that's him) and I haven't gotten our package yet, so I can't help with assembling the URL...
But during class today I got bored and doodled... this.

You're crazy. Go home. From my own examining of the images I completely agree with Lock's analysis so far. Though i do think the end is .com (or at least just COM)
Wonderful pun.

Also, Feetontheceiling: Could you get your friend to do a few more helpful shots of his paper?

I hope these help? She's basically working with a cell phone camera and a webcam, neither of which zoom very well /: The top one seems clearest, though.

Well it's better, as long as the rest are similar or better quality we should be able to piece it together.
I got my thing in the mail, too, and also took a snapshot of the url thingy with a webcam app. It's grainy and backwards, but it'll have to do. http://www.cameroid.com/i/U79ZM-A1

It's not showing up for me for some reason.
"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianI'm not seeing it either. can you try uploading it to something else, like photobucket? I want to be able to see it so I can muck around with it in photoshop

Well, for those of you who can't see it, I'll just try and tell you what was on it; or, at least, what I can make out.
- Part of the http:// thing.
- what looks like part of an N or an H,
- part of an A
- part of a T
- part of an E.
- The top of an I, J, or a T
- what looks like the bottom curve of a B
- part of a period.
- What appears to be 2 Cs and a /.
That's all I can make out.
EDIT: I've uploaded a pic of it. WARNING: .jpeg! http://www.freeimagehosting.net/kcxyp

I'm sorry, but i can't really use that image with the others, it's too pixelated and too dark to really get a clear picture of it. Is there anyway you can possibly get a better quality shot of it?
Also Jazzy Josh pm'd me https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7c88xxn8qzy1uvz/KhSHoJWTkP, which has his own URL as well.

@Jack: Do you have a desk lamp that you can direct at the paper when taking the photo? Usually webcams need a lot of light to get a clear picture out of them.
"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianThat looks like a "ds" in the middle.
You know, it's possible that there are two url's. Jazzy Josh's, even when resized, has its letters spaced out differently than the others (The two tt's in Http are further apart than the others), so it doesn't seem to line up as well. It's possible that his letter is a part of a separate url. It's also possible that I'm just doing a bad job of resizing it. Hopefully it's a seperate url, cause we'll have a problem if we need to actually edit the spacings of the characters to fit each page.
Jazzyjosh's seems to line up better with feetontheceilings friends image. I'll try and make a few images to show what I mean.

Another one, this time with better lighting (WARNING: It's sideways; stupid phone camera): http://www.freeimagehosting.net/jdefo
Hey guys just got my package today, there is definitly a d in the web url, I can scan the thing on my printer but I don't have a source to update. If someone sent me an email or something I could send the url picture to I would be greatful.
Just upload it to tinypic.com.

http://i204.photobucket.com/ albums/bb154/Jeodarkviper/Alittlebetter.jpg
(remove the space before album)
The first image is if I overlap feetonthecieling, her friends, and jazzyjosh's all at the 'http' section. Since that section is the easiest to see, lining them up there makes the most sense. But upon doing that, unless I did something wrong, causes several letters to overlap (even when all three images are generally the same size)
The second image is without feetonthecielings, it looks like it lines up a little better to me, which is why I think there may be multiple url's.
Also, jacktheriffer, could you try one more time, try and get as much light on the picture as possible, and line it up as straight as possible (don't take the picture with the image slanted). I need it to be as close to the others as possible for me to try and piece it together.

Just use imgur. No signup needed, you can upload photos off your computer and they're easy to link to.
ninja'd. tinypic works too.

I'll play around with it when I get home after game. I'm pretty good at image manipulation.

Cheshire or Joe's Video, both seems good for me, but what about having he to find Sherlock Holmes?
