Doctor Who - Time and Space [Discussion Thread]

Here we discuss everything about our little RP focused on the time travelling alien.

Now, for the first episode!

The Living Dead - Something strange is happening in Highgate Cemetery. Each night, a group of people enters the cemetery to go through a night tour provided by Spike's Touring Company, but less and less people are coming back from those tours. And the people that do come back keep talking about how they saw the dead bodies leaving their graves and kidnapping some of the group members. This gets UNIT's attention, and they soon block the cemetery, ready to investigate the disappearances and the "zombies". But it seems like UNIT is not the only one interested in the Cemetery, as various alien species find their way inside- including one time travelling alien known as "the Doctor".

One-Off Characters:

• Marcus Jennifer, the 22-year old tour guides at Spike's Touring Company, who has been sent by his boss to help UNIT with the case. -desdendelle
• Captain Erisa Magambo, an UNIT officer working on the case.
• Doc Jones, the 67-year old caretaker of Highgate Cemetery. -Lizard
• Bela Rosa, a 34-year old reporter for The Times who's covering the whole case. -Slendid Suit

How is this going to work? I'm giving you guys minimum details on the one-off characters so you guys can play them the way you guys want.

As for the regular companions, well, since this is their first story, I've added ways both of them can get in the story (Alexander as one of the aliens visiting Highgate Cemetery and Sloane as someone working with UNIT on the case).

So, um aside from the usual (watermelon, watermelon, cantaloupe, cantaloupe), do I throw Tuvok in somehow, or do I take a one-off? If it's the latter, I'd like to reserve Marcus, please.

I believe we are on one-off duty this ep.
I would go with Bela if nobody else wants her.

Speaking of which - Strat, should I edit in a bit to explain where Justine currently is? Since going back to his own time wouldn't be particularly bright...

OK, I'm going back into perfectionist mode and researching medal ribbons for Jon's No.2 Dress jacket.

In rough order: Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (might have to tweak his age a bit for this one).

I bags Doc Jones.

Okay, edited Justine. Have also made his backstory slightly more interesting. If it's a little too interesting I shall cut it.

Well, maxy, unless it's a companion-less episode, I'd prefer if you just stick to Sloane.

And if that medal count seems a bit low I would just like to point out there aren't that many medals in the British Military. It's not like America where you get one just for finishing training.

That, and the most senior officer in the British Army only has seven medals. One of which is technically his Knighthood.

Oh, Strat, what's the status of Torchwood in this universe?
Would Bela know enough be able to ask awkward questions about it, for instance?

You see, I haven't watched Torchwood, so I'm not sure how I could properly RP it. So let's just say it doesn't exist right now.

So now I have to do PR for the classified alien hunting organisation that everyone thinks is a counter-terrorism unit.
