Guys, when we give exposure to this shit we give IGN money. I don't know how many times I need to point this out.
IGN and Kotaku etc don't care whether you agree. In fact I'd argue that they deliberately make their articles as incendiary as possible to piss off as many people off to drive more people to their site.
Falling for this is exactly what they want.

If I had the patience to, I'd Pastebin the shit out of all those entries. Just like I do for every Kotaku article ever.
EDIT: And this is why no one save for Reddit seems to respect IGN or Kotaku. And that's sad, because Reddit's more of a shithole than 4chan is, and I don't know how the fuck they managed that.

EIGHT GLORIOUS SIDESUgh, I can't look at it right now, did EarthBound make the list?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Yeah, it was #17.
There's really no way to possibly rank 100 different games in a descending format of "Game 99 is better than game 100."
Except for maybe the top 10, just take it for what it really is: A list of 100 good games, and a fuel for major flame wars in the comments section.

Except their top ten is just as garbage as the rest of the list.
The lack of Deus Ex and Planescape Torment in the top ten made the rest of the list pretty much irrelevant.
Deus Ex is 25? 25?! WTF are they smoking?

That would make sense.
What definition of RP Gs was used anyways? All of them?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Eh... I'm just happy Super Mario RPG is at 21.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Why does anyone give a shit about a list made by six strangers who are paid not to have opinions and write utterly generic under-researched bullcrap*? Why does it matter?
Answer: It's a self-fufilling prophecy. It matters because we're giving a shit.

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Y'all do realize shouting expletives and insults at a list/makers of a list on the grounds of "Game X I think should be on there but isn't!" or "Game X I think should be higher but isn't!" just make you look like butthurt whiners right?
No? Okay then, carry on. Just remember to not sit down - it won't feel pleasant with such a sore bottom.

#IceBearForPresidentb- BUT where is the fun on not mockering their efforts of ranking rpgs???
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/It's not really a matter of "I think" when you leave something like Deus Ex or Torment low/off the list; it's more a matter of "they didn't bother to do any research and they're showing it".
Nous restons ici.>Deus Ex entry 25
>Planescape entry 13

...well this list was pretty much doomed from the start.
just going off the varying responses in this thread makes it obvious there was no combination of games in the top ___ that would have left the majority or even a reasonably large group content with the list.
they could have just gone "100 great rpgs" and then the dissenters would be both lesser in number and those that were left wouldnt look as reasonable in their outrage.
but obviously, they want bad publicity, because for some reason thats...what, more profitable? doubt it but whatever...
Please explain.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Ok, this thread's not going anywhere productive.

I'd replace WOW on the list with FFXI, thus contradicting someone's claim that no-one likes FFXI.
Now, fourteen on the other hand, that one sucks, for now.
