I would say TV Tropes improved my written english...
I think my english is better now than in my first posts...
On the other hand, TV Tropes made me see many works from a whole new perspective.
Haw Haw HawIf anything, this site has just caused me to label everyone with tropes in my head based on the way they act, past words/events, etc.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.TV Tropes has introduced me to fictional works I would never have considered trying before. That in itself is wonderful.
A brighter future for a darker age.I've gotten a lot better at analyzing plots and characters objectively. I find myself calling movies out on an Idiot Plot and/or the overuse of certain archetypes more and more often.
TV Tropes introduced me to the first 2 webcomics I regularly read: Questionable Content and El Goonish Shive.
Plus, now I can identify tropes off the top of my head. People might think that makes everything worse, but I like it :D
It's certainly also encouraged me to think more critically about fiction and to have names for things.
A brighter future for a darker age.
