Suggestion: Scenery Porn.Western Animation

I've spent the past week watching musicals, mostly '60s ones but also some of the Disney Animated Canon. At the very beginning of Beauty And The Beast, there's a lovely image with the woods and the castle in the distant background. Full size.◊

I think that belongs on SceneryPorn.Animated Film rather than SceneryPorn.Western Animation.

(in which case, we could look for something for SceneryPorn.Western Animation. Here's a scene from Avatar The Last Airbender: [1]◊)

Of the links on SP.WA, Avatar and Korra are the most impressive IMO (no, I'm totally not a fan of the former *innocent look*). I prefer this shot of Ba Sing Se and the one of Air Temple Island◊ (if you get a 403 on that one, just press enter).

The second one looks pretty awesome. Not sure about how much porn they retain after being shrunk to wiki size though. That goes for the original suggestion too, actually - it is really pretty if you go into the details but it didn't really awe me at first sight. Something more open might work better.

Honestly, I think the one in #4 looks more Scenery Porny. While the ones in #5 look great, they look more like they're just detailed rather than Scenery Porn, if that makes sense.

5.1 (how do we access 5.2?) and 1 are good, even if on different pages. Avatar is far too blurry.

5.2 on imgur. Click the URL bar and press enter to reload the page. That'll get past most 403s and no-hotlinking notices unless the page redirected. This one loses too much detail at wiki size, though, kinda like the Beast one in my OP. Damn large images making me like them so much!

The two Avatar series are prime Scenery Porn fodder. The waterfall from TLA and the zooming shot of Republic City in the intro from Korra seem like two good candidates. Here's another good one.◊

I like that one the most so far.

Can we upload these images so that we can check if they will fit at wiki size?

Suggestion: Crop it to a small enough image, and caption it, "But wait, there's more," and link it to the full version.

Air Temple Island◊ — has a bug, loses a lot of detail, is still good.

Air Temple Island crop◊ — detailed, has some variety, doesn't focus on the buildings too much. My favourite, I think.

Republic City◊ — hard to make out.

Republic City crop◊ — better than above, but isn't about the scenery. Could be cropped more to give detail, but that would have absolutely no background in it.

Mountain crop◊ — simple but I like it.

Ba Sing Se◊ — doesn't lose detail, so good.

Valley with waterfall◊ — the more I look at this one the more I like it. It's a wonderful view.

I think Republic City and the waterfall are my two favorites. I think we may need a crowner, they're all good.

Those are my favourites too, slightly leaning towards Republic City. And yes, we'll probably need a crowner for all the images in 14.

By the way, what about SceneryPorn.Animated Film? I guess we'll have a thread on it later?

There's already an ImageLinks.Scenery Porn, that's actually where I got the waterfall porn from. Should we just dump the images there or make a brand new Image Links for Western Animation?

Dump them there, with either AC text or folders for separators.

Dump 'em there and sort that page by medium using small headers.
