Welp, time for more grinding—no way I'm continuing until I have 80 with Shadowy and Persuasion at least. But first, a vacation to the Forgotten Quarter.

Yeah, if you're going to the Republic, expect, among other things, to rack up a lot of ailments. Like, Wounds and stuff.

Hoo boy. They weren't kidding at all. Irrigo just ate some 3 from all my qualities.

Freaking irrigo and the freaking Nadir, man.

Finally all of my base stat is 100!

Question: can I use menace reducing items in the Iron Republic? If not I think I should try to get all the quality down to 0...

You can't, but they tend to reset themselves to preset qualities with certain actions, and you get an option to reduce them all at once when you're at the end of your stay.

All right, got to the republic...oh boy that's a few fucknut events that raise my wound and nightmare to 6 at once...(different events did each)

Update: FUCK ME! Just miss 1 more cp before I have enough to make the Journal! Now I'm at day 99!

I'm still waiting for the "Bag a Legend" ambition to continue...as well as the other places on the Unterzee to open up. I really want to see what lies on the Carnelian coasts, the East, or even North.

Well those 3 are at least in Sunless Sea...though I doubt the content there would be as detailed as FL...and yes, NORTH is in Sunless Sea, or more accurately, the way to it...though I don't think you can actually REACH it since it's probably the outer space...or black hole...or something...the only thing that's certain is that it's beyond Avid Horizon, and the gate is closed...although one of the choice may let it be open...dunno.

And now it's me heading back to the republic again for the journal...

On a more personal note, Orphanage and Profession: Midnighter, Get! I've wanted to open it ever since I burnt down that last one. It shot first, though. :p

Are there any storylets avaliable at high levels that trigger the Persuasive and Dangerous living stories?

And I'm still stuck needing Comprehensive Bribe to continue Bag a Legend...

^ For persuasive you can just try get rare success from Tell a risque joke...it's not THAT rare. Dangerous...nope. If you already start Family and Law then you're SOL. If not then you can still do aggressive gardening. Also: I just noticed (and confirmed by people in IRC) that the stat increase living stories doesn't work anymore if you're POSI...that sucks.

Right now am trying to get Tales of Mahogany Hall to 22 to be able to continue the Affair of the Box...

Welp, I just started this. Currently grinding out the lowest levels.. GOD this game is well written.

I currently grinding Wild Words items for the "Bag a Legend" ambition.

I thought that finding the second assassin was going to be the most tedious part of the ambition, but that's when I remembered losing against Feducci automatically sent you to the boatman.

^ You know that there's a mirror in Hall of Mirrors that kill you instantly, right?

Second day my sister started playing Fallen London, she ended up dying from that. Don't know if she's still with that boatman, though…

Yeah, but I figured that since there's a 50% chance at the very lowest of beating Feducci, I would either get to the boatman instantly or at least walk away with a ton of rostygold. Either way, I win.

Still grinding for Primordial Shrieks; how long before the next update to the ambitions, I wonder?

EDIT: Just finished grinding all the stuff I need to build April's bomb. Now to wait until the writers decide to add in the next chapters.

By the way, this is a little off topic, but does anyone know where I could possibly read the storylets from the alternative carnival during the "Seeking Mr Eaten's Name" quest? I heard it has some of the most disturbing contents in the entire game but I can't seem to find any place where I can read about them.

Currently I'm just trying to get to level 60 in some of my stats so that I can open up new areas. What is the benefit of having a patron? (And would anyone like to be mine/just exchange usernames for sending "pls hop going insane" messages?)

I think Patron can help you train stat...the only problem is that the patron need to have stat specialization (base stat 200 of the type you want to specialize, then choose it explicitly)...Plus, the protege need to have stat of that type less than 100...so you could benefit from that...you just need to find a patron willing to adopt you.

Use this place to help. Note that you can only have 1 patron at a time...

Damn you fool! Learn from my sister's mistakes!

I'm currently trying to grind my Shadowy and Persuasion base levels to 85—give me some time to gather some more candles to continue with my own ambition, and hopefully make my stats good enough so that I could maybe be less riddled with nightmares and wounds when I'm done with that damn labyrinth. (Also, of course I hear that my ambition's gonna be the last to get updated.)

But honestly, anyone want to post their usernames? I'm waffle, which is hopelessly generic, so I'm hoping someone else will post so I don't have to post my email.
