[up][up]The actual red area started with Arin saying something along the lines of "What is wrong with this guy? What is ACTUALLY wrong with him?"

It then continued with Dan prodding through its more irrelevant information - bringing up and subsequently making fun of the author's pen-name (Leadfoot because *Tasteless Lead Joke Here*) and special thanks credits of all things (since you can't make anything of dubious quality unless you personally hate the person you're attributing it to) - which eventually concluded with the completion of Sonic Lost World & Knuckles.

The personal information bit is news to me, though. No wonder they took it down.

It's especially terrible, cause, like, Arin has been doing fine? He acts like its terrible and awful, but he's been finishing the Knuckles stages in record time.

So it doesn't even matter if the walkthrough's bad- they don't fucking need it, anyway.

Hasn't he been complaining a lot during the Knuckles segments(I haven't watched those ones yet but I heard he's been very obnoxious)?

Yes. And, sometimes it's justified, but most of the time it feels like he's just screaming for no reason at all.

Like I said, they've been finishing the action stages pretty quickly.

I just found it odd that they thought we wouldn't believe the FAQ was real without reading more of that information, when my first reaction was, "Yeah, that sounds exactly like the typical GameFAQs contributor, no need to convince me." (When a site ends up with recurring style problems like that, my tendency is to blame an abundance of teenagers in the userbase trying too hard to imitate whatever seemed cool to them in the past, but I'm probably being unfair.)

[up][up]That isn't unusual with Arin. He's done it before (especially in regards to Sonic games) and he's been called out on it multiple times before. He's a cool guy but he can be a bit oblivious at times and his complaints can be rather hypocritical....

By the way I only mentioned the Jon thing because that's the last Game Grumps dramafest that I was aware of. And my god was that shit bad. That was one of the worst examples of a Fan Dumb craze that I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few.

[up]x3 In the episode that just got pulled a quirk in the game's draw distance gave him a free Emerald and he used it as an excuse to rag on the game some more. I'm not going to claim that the game (or the Hunting) is perfect, but when a flaw like that is pretty harmless and you're using it as an excuse to bitch you're going a bit too far.

[up]x2 In this case the minimal information was justified due to the randomness of Emerald locations, making any sort of write up difficult (especially when finding them isn't too hard in the first place to even warrant a walkthrough). At least in Casinopolis the author gave info about one of the more obscure locations, so I'd say he did his job.

I don't think that they should've said his name, and I think the guys who went after him are real pieces of shit, but it was a pretty bad walkthrough. It never even mentioned that the emeralds are randomised, so if you didn't know that, it did just look like the walkthrough writer was doing a shit job.

I knew as soon as Dan said the guy's name something like this would happen. Sometimes I feel like the Grumps have a bit too much faith in their fans.

Also, tangentially, I seem to more easily forgive Arin than most folks here for his complaints about stuff, I honestly think he's almost always justified...but he really doesn't have any excuse to still be mad about the Emeralds sometimes being in enemies. Like, it's fair to be mad in the first level, because he had no idea that was a thing that could happen, but once it's already an established game mechanic it really shouldn't be as reprehensible. Just...kill every enemy.

Although I'm not certain he isn't just making a running gag out of it at this point.

I wish Danny would be the player more often. He's way more chill than Arin, for starters, plus he's admitted he kinda checks out a few episodes into each session, so it's be a nice way to avoid that.

And Punch Out and Zelda II are definitely my favourite series.

[up]He doesn't seem to take 3D games well usually since he didn't grow up with them. Though hopefully the next big LP they do will be that Link between worlds LP they mentioned back in Mario 64.

I realized that I did listen to the previous version when it went up yesterday, and this re-edit confirmed it for me: the episode is forgettable. I didn't remember 20% of whatever they said, but then, these episodes are pretty disposable unless they come up with a hilarious moment worthy of an animation. For future videos, they could refrain from talking smack about people they don't know, or at least, don't mention their name or information.

calling out people by name always results in bad people giving them shit. that's one of the things you should never do as a public figure, especially one with a big fanbase.

I'm kind of sad the King's Quest series seems to be on hiatus. I was enjoying it more than either of the Game Grumps series going on now.

I think I'm liking the Harry Potter run, though. Ross mocking Fred and George for having phoned-in names followed by Holly retorting that Dragonball Z has characters named after vegetables made me laugh.

This is the most recent mention of it as far as I can tell.

Not sure what the question has to do with anything, though. All of them go on about how good they are at deliberately avoiding online input every other video, as far back as the Jon sessions.

Only the first episode (of the game) is out, right? Maybe I'll just watch them play 'til the end of Episode 1.

Agreed on that. From what I see, there are alternate solutions for puzzles, so when I do play it, I think I'll pursue them to see what happens.
