In canon, Twilight has been training all along to become Celestia's successor.

In FIW, Twilight is basically turning herself into the devil.

Fluttershy and Rarity will realize that Twilight is the vessel of the Smooze, and will worship her. Immediately afterwards, Twilight will destroy the world.

Holy shit, I totally didn't get that bit with the skeleton! That's hilarious.

Which episode do you think they'll do next?

I'm hoping for Stare Master.

Honestly, I was expecting "Foaly Matripony" to come with the announcement that they're quitting altogether.

I was pleasantly surprised they're not.

Last summer, they talked about doing a new Snooty, Snarky Evaders episode. Dunno if they're still planning that.

A bit belated review.

Splendid original animation and songs, but I have to say that Twilight went just a bit too far in this one. Also, outright killing off Cadance? That's...going to be problematic...or not.

Given Jenny's and Griffin's general policy of not doing the "big" episodes (which are the ones with Cadance in them), it probably won't be that big a deal...

To be honest, though, I never really liked her and Shining Armor to begin with.

Hmm...I wonder what the next episode be. Maybe the Scootaloo episode? Apple Bloom wants to be a president, Sweetie Belle is a robot, I wonder what she would be?

I read on Griffinilla's tumblr that the next FIW will be based on "One Bad Apple".

I wish that Twilight goes through more positive Character Development. As much as I like her derange and (by now) outright evil personality because it's hilarious, it starts to evoke Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy from me.

Agreed, it's funny but I find it hard to care for such a despicable character.

I think I said this, but although Twilight's action in Foaly Matrimony was horrific, the more sinister side of mine actually approves it just a little bit, because I never really liked Cadance anyway.

So I finally finished watching all the episodes (yes, I know I'm never hip and up-to-date); there were some genuinely funny moments scattered throughout the series (like this), but did anyone else get the feeling the creators were trying too hard? A lot of the humor feels really really forced. Maybe that's the point?

And the music has a lot of clever wordplay and catchy tunes (mostly Pinkie's songs), but it seems kind of out-of-place. You could say that the music in FIM doesn't need to be there either, but it's more noticeable here.

Shrug.
