Well, reading the description, it mentions two different things: children surviving and dogs surviving. I guess a split is a good idea.

Children and dogs don't get typically die in media for the same reason (perceived innocence), so it isn't a separate trope.

I don't know...the Real Life examples are pretty interesting, and fit the trope. The real life exceptions should be cut completely, however. I mean, seriously.

Unless we're saying that God is sparing the child/dog because they're innocent, it's not this trope. It's just A Child Doesn'tDie.

It doesn't look like the concerns raised against the description are shared. The real life issue can go to Special Efforts. Locking.
