I believe Morbius is kind of grandfathered in because he was made up in lieu of actual vampires when Marvel didn't know if they could get away with it because dun dun da dun dunnnnnn comic code.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, she did appear in the first three movies (albeit as cameos), so I doubt she'll show up if they keep doing movies set in the past.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Jubes is the most recognisable mutant from the trilogy who doesn't qualify for minor character.
She's the one character who really owes everything to the 90s cartoon. Most of the characters have enough fans and purpose in their own right to be kept around, Gambit was had a fairly brief time as a massively popular character, that started before the cartoon, which creators keep trying to recreate. The only reason there have been multiple* attempts to make Jubilee relevant again are because of the notoriety she got from the cartoon.
Am I a good man or a bad man?Jubilee was the leader of an X-team in the MC2 setting. So that's neat.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBoy, this is going to be x-travagant. I'm so x-cited.
Aw, I was just about to post that.
They actually subtracted sins for the Quicksilver scene. It was funny, sure, but how did you guys feel about it?
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).He's the epitome of the One Scene Wonder, but what a scene!
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYou can't listen to music while moving faster than the speed of sound. That should be taken into account.
I thought it was the best scene of the movie TBH. It's kind of my problem with the Bryan Singer X-Men films, in a bid to make them feel more realistic they kind of sucked the fun out of the movies. Quicksilver was Fun Personified.
That actually does get mentioned at 6:54.

16 minutes? They must really not have liked the movie.
You can't control metal with your mind, either.

Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.I've just seen this movie and I really enjoyed it! I think that the story was pretty good and I really enjoyed the past scenes with the X-Men, as well as the future scenes with the X-Men. The only problem I had with this film was how the future cast were being treated. I know that they are in the bad future and seeing them get killed off was inevitable, but still, I would have loved to see more character development from the future cast, especially Storm and Colossus as I felt that throughout the film series, they haven't been developed very well and to see them get killed off so quickly was a bit hard to handle.
So, I have two questions: 1) Which future characters' deaths hit you the most? I was most affected by Colossus, Storm and Iceman's deaths since their deaths were the most brutal. 2. I know that not everyone agrees with this theory and I was curious about it because I kept seeing it pop up in the forums every once in a while, but how come some X-Men fans have an issue with the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!- sight*....too much Wolverine. As usual (with the exception of "First Class"). And as impressive as the Quicksilver scene is - he is too powerful. If they had taken him with them he could have solved all their problems alone. Also nothing which came after was half as interesting.
Cinema Sins strikes me as kinda whiny. Some of their 'sins' are really stretching it and most of the time it looks like they're just trying way too hard.
Every time I watch Days Of Future Past, I can't help but smile at how for most of the climax the heroes have already won but don't know it - that is, the X-Men in the future trying to change the past.
From the moment Wolverine was sent away from the fight, they could've woken Wolverine up and nothing would have changed since the everything that happened afterwards was entirely in the hands of the Past! characters. But then we wouldn't get to see the tragic deaths of all the Future! X-Men.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Why is Gambit getting a movie anyway? He doesn't seem that interesting.
It's the sexy Cajun accent, I'm guessing.
Isn't he sort of an ensemble darkhorse for the X-Men franchise? I mean, the cast is so huge there's like a gerbillion darkhorses but
He has the power to make explode so.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat and Channing Tatum has been trying to get this movie made forever. He's wanted to be a superhero for a long time and just in the last few years he's finally gained the A-list clout to push it through, I imagine.
He was an Ensemble Dark Horse in the 90's, but since they took way too long to give him a major role in anything else outside the comics (besides X Men The Animated Series, but that is probably what started it) the Gambit hype in general subsided before it could turn into something more lasting.
Course, now 90's kids are starting to make movies...

Th problem I have with vampires in MARVEL is that they only seem to exist when they're on panel. The interesting thing about Blade is that it looks at the repercussions of a secret parasitic population, but none of the other heroes seem all that concerned by this threat. And then you get things like Morbius the Living Vampire which tries to make excuses for this vampires existence, when quite clearly vampires are a legitimate thing in the setting and we shouldn't need excuses.
I'm fond of Jubilee because often she gives a unique perspective of the MARVEL heroics. In many interpretations of her she exists both within and outside of the superheroics circle, being both just a kid not trusted with the whole picture, but possessing enough of the picture she gets some respect for it. Really, she's what Rogue could have been in the original trilogy if the writers knew how to incorporate her better.
