No hipster glasses? For shame.

Currently trying to cobble together a "Community College Hipster Wizard" Harry Potter cosplay for a Harry Potter themed cosplay event at the anime store in my old neighbourhood I now access by bus and train.
Costume consists of:
1 x Actual Harry Potter merch wand I bought from Toys R Us since I thought buying a set of plastic chopsticks for a wand would be too lazy and mean-spirited to the other cosplayers, since I'm doing this costume as a sincere attempt at an original cosplay idea rather than a troll costume intended to piss off HP fans, which is not the case.
1x Vanilla Ice cassette tape medallion, hung on chain though the one I have now looks more like a cassette bow tie rather than a bling bling medallion as intended.
1x Hoodie which is robish enough to pass for a hipster robe for one of those out of town community colleges of witchcraft and wizardry for the people I imagine aren't living in England or can't afford to go to a high class magic school worthy of depicting in the films.
1x Kindle spellbook, because considering how many textbooks the average student can cram onto the thing, why wouldn't a self respecting hipster wizard on a student budget have one?
Jeans and belt for effect, plus suede shoes instead of sneakers because just because it's a hipster wizard outfit doesn't mean it can't have elf like suede shoes for effect.
I'd like some suggestions as to how to improve said costume before next weekend. Since I really want to make the effort on this one on a low budget with items I already have to make a really home made but original look that raises questions about HP canon in a playful manner.
