Watched it again on Video on Demand.
The infamous back breaking scene...still chilling.
It's just so...fast. It's over before you know it, even for people who know the significance. He just lifts Bruce up like a doll, and CRACK!!! It's over.
Wonderous.
There was also Bane's line about victory defeating Bruce. I liked that.

One Strip! One Strip!I love watching the second Batman vs Bane fight. Once those first couple of valves are punched off, Bane just goes ballistic, seriously, listen to the sounds he's making. Before: calm and silent, now: loud, guttural yells.
"Urge to thump... rising." -Fighteer
What's funny about it is:
He said earlier that it would be painful for anyone who took off his mask.
Then you see him punching holes in walls after Batman does just that, and then you know he wasn't bluffing!!!
In that small space in the plane, he would have wrecked shit if they'd tried to remove his face mask. He did them a favour.
Edit: Also, watching the movie, I've gained a huge appreciation for Talia's Slow knife approach.
She went to a lot of trouble to get him in the right place at the right time.
Everything that went wrong for Bruce in the Movie can be traced back to her, and she was the one who got him back into the world(through Catwoman).
She could have just killed him much earlier, but it wouldn't have meant anything then. So she gave him back his spark, gave him a reason to fight again, even unwittingly helped him become stronger by forcing him to endure the same trial she did.
It makes the literal knife she sticks in his chest much much worse.
Of course, then the whole plan goes to shit, but that's how revenge goes sometimes.

One Strip! One Strip!Pacing is still something of an issue, though. Despite going through events really fast, it still feels like it's dragging on. This gets worse on repeat viewings since you're not as focused on seeing the plot unfold.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)Funny thing about anesthetic gas is that it inhibits muscle strength and control, meaning With Mask!Bane wasn't at his full potential. So, in TDKR, neutralizing Bane's chemical supply actually has the REVERSE effect than usual.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerWith the lines cut Bane did seem a bit stronger than usual, but he would also have been in intense pain.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Anger and pain can actually make a person stronger, but of course, the downside of being in intense pain is the fact that you're in intense pain. Still, if Bane's berserking on adrenaline, the pain wouldn't even slow him down. Anger and pain together can create a very potent cocktail for making certain kinds of person unstoppable for a short period of time.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.And didn't the bit where Bane cracked a stone column with one punch happen after Batman disconnected the valves on Bane's mask?
I didn't write any of that.Bane did seem stronger, as pointed out, but it also looks like he was freaking out. His attacking seemed more...desperate, for lack of a better word.

He fights like a younger man, with nothing held back.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)Really appreciating the foreshadowing (which I missed in the film because I was expecting Talia to turn up anyway) for non-familiar fans. For instance, during the Stock Exchange heist, you know how there are the two traders getting a shoe shine? Talia walks right past them and into the building. Her face is unseen, but she is wearing the usual blue coat and her scarf. Later on, Bane nods to someone offscreen. Dead subtle.
Schild und Schwert der Partei
I think I know who you are talking about. I thought that was her, but I forgot about it.
Slow knife, people. Slow knife.
One Strip! One Strip!Looks like her, certainly. And I can't see a director as meticulous as Nolan making her the focus of the entire second half of the shot for no reason.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)Yeah. I thought that was it. I think it's definitely her.
One Strip! One Strip!Seems kind of silly that Bane would want to suspiciously nod to someone who's supposed to be undercover, in front of all those people.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.
He's just nodding in their general direction. Talia will get it, but noone else will.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiSo this is a strange reason to bump, but I just realize that the version of Catwoman in this movie, in addition to never being referred to as Catwoman, does't use a whip.
I never noticed that until now.
One Strip! One Strip!
Nope. That rumour was squashed.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.
