Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaate
Like, I don't want to say it's the worst plan you could ever have
But only because the worst plan would be to threaten Godfrey live on air.
Like, BLADE had a slightly better plan than this when he paid people to beat up Godfrey so that he could then save him.

My various fanfics.Re: Spider-Man. It's just my opinion, folks. Yours can differ, it's OK. For all I know Homecoming will be awesome. And did I mention I *loved* Spidey in action? How come people never notice when I say nice things? I had to leave the Steven Universe threads -twice- because of that.
And yeah, I too thought Kate was smarter than that. Then again Godfrey really gets on people's nerves, and most heroes do tend to solve things with violence. Heck I *intentionally* play Access that way, the only reason he doesn't get into more fights is because he lacks the power. Compare him with Robby or Anarky, who I play as being smarter. At least with the Hellfire Club he knew he was out of his depth and called for help; he's learning.

I mean this is very much something I can picture Fraction and Aja's Kate doing, so works for me.
(Fun fact/smug brag: have a copy of the Sex Criminals Just the Tips book signed by Kieron Gillen - he doodled Kate saying she hates how Matt writes her)
Yeeeaah, I'm kind of trying to see how this goes. Maybe it's residual mind control effects from Godfrey, combined with the trauma of seeing someone get riddled with bullets right in front of you?
Maybe I could edit it so Kate's just trying to find Morgan Edge so she can interrogate him?
EDIT: Okay, changed it a little to make it less boneheaded, and sorry about that. I will try to think it through more next time.

Don't worry. Happens to the best of us. >.>
I was fine with it. I was going to describe one of the techs like Danny Pudi, showing he has a knack for opening the door to the villain's lair when the hero knocks.

...oh god, why did I change it, that would have been amazing.
Ah, well.
edited 23rd May '16 2:29:42 PM by emilyorthoclase
Well, whether you choose to change it back or not, I hope to use this chance to employ Godfreys (ahem) 'private security force'.
You can change it back.
what
I already changed it, I might as well stick with it.
This is going to be good.
Weeeell, I figured since the Intergang were instrumental in introducing Godfrey to his personal lord and saviour, it might be possible that they've been doing a bit of...backstage work to further his influence and theirs. A business takeover here, a backalley execution there, all real surreptitious-like.
makes sense
Oh dear, Kate
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.Hey, could I join as the Puinsher?
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name. She wouldn't actually stab anyone, the sword would just be for the intimidation factor.
@Demovere: Your decision entirely on the result of the DNA scan. While I envisioned the reveal to be 50% Human, 5% Kree, and 45% Kryptonian, it is entirely, completely up to you in the end.
@Liz: If my latest post seems a bit too much, I will edit it.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HOTTING HELPY!!Of course it's my decision - I'm playing as Power Girl.
Peace. Pace. Sanity. Check out my DeviantArt! ^_^I wonder how many people are going to be watching Godfrey this morning...
My various fanfics.A bit off topic, but relevant to our interests: Film Crit Hulk's take on Civil War and a recurring problem with the MCU. Not a huge FCH fan, but he raises some interesting points.

oh, cool! Didn't realise he'd written about it yet, I'm really bad at finding out when the Hulk has a new article up
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.OK, finally managed to catch up with the NY thread. I'm kinda curious about what Kate did pre-edit, but ah well
I'm gonna try to get Wasp back into the action, but the more I think about it the main problem I see is that her suit was knocked out by the EMP at the gala, and I'm not sure if it'd be realistic for Janet to have the skills to fix it.
That was an interesting piece. It's not something I've noticed before, but I find myself agreeing with his assessment of the post-phase-1 films.

Reading his stuff makes my head hurt.
You could just technobabble that the EMP was only a temporary shutdown and the suit booted itself back up.
Or while she's waiting for it to boot, she could watch some TV. :P
My various fanfics.I'm actually fiddling with a post that has her sitting frustrated and surrounded by disassembled suit bits with the TV on as background noise
As for the suit, that could work. The EMP probably fried its computer, mostly, not the physics-screwy pym-particle bits
Plus I can see Hank lecturing her a lot on this sort of thing... yeah, I can work with that.
EDIT: All in all, though, this is making me realise one of the problems inherent in playing a tech-hero character who isn't the genius inventor behind their own tech.

Investigations and interrogations ahoy! This is either going to end well or very, very badly.
Also, I checked Wikipedia; Marisa Tomei is 51, the same age as Robert Downey Jr. So there's that, I guess.
