Ambiguous Name: Chekhovs Pun

Hey, wouldn't it be great if we had a page for all our snowclone indexes?

We do. It's called Chekhov's Pun.

This will probably confuse all of you since snowclones are rarely puns and never Chekhovs Guns.

Can we rename this index to... well, anything else? Such as, simply, Snowclones? "Snowclone" currently redirects to a good page about bad snowclones, but we also have this value-neutral page that lists our snowclone families. (Some of the page's description ["Outside of this wiki, this is called a "snowclone"] suggests this page was written before this site started using the term; later, someone added wicks to Everythings Worse With Snowclones).

Alternatively, if we want to kill every snowclone in this index, we could cut Chekhov's Pun.

Put this into Snowclone. And maybe replace the top line of the description with something akin to "Everythings Worse With Snowclones. Everybody should know that. But what are these snowclones we don't want?"

Support merging with Snowclones.

Calling crowner: rename Chekhov's Pun to Snowclones

On it, though I'm going to have to start by fixing the existing wicks to Snowclone. There's only six, so that shouldn't be too bad; I just hope people don't get confused between this and the name's current target, Everythings Worse With Snowclones.

eta: actually, several of the existing links to the new name seem like they'd work just as well with the new target; I'll leave those.

Ok, everything's done except for actions that require a moderator (moving the discussion page and fixing the wick on a locked page). Except, see eta note below!

This turned out to be harder than I thought. It seems that turning an index into a redirect does not necessarily make it stop acting as an index for all the pages it once had. Even a null edit didn't fix it. I actually had to go in and temporarily turn Chekhov's Gun into a regular page (saying "See Snowclones"), then set the page type to disambiguation+index, so that it would index the nothing on the page, then do a null edit to active the indexing, then go back to page type to turn off the indexing, and then change the page back to a redirect. Whew! Not easy to figure out! I almost thought we'd need Eddie to fix things.

eta: Wait! I almost forgot one thing! Chekhov's Gun is still listed on Index-Index, and Snowclones isn't, and I haven't figured out how to fix/update that.

Anyway, the Index-Index problem seems to have been resolved (or maybe it resolved itself), and the locked page has been edited. The only thing we're still waiting on is for a mod to move the discussion page.
