Justice Avengers: Interest Check and Sign Up

Hey people. Sorry for The delay,I lost this post and confused it with another Avengers RP xD as I am new to this forum, I'll be bold enough to ask how this kind of roleplaying works (already read some "read first" material but no ideia how it plays out) and also ask for a RP log or something like that. I'd like to know how characters like The wall crawler and deadpool were played in personality before, it's a matter of consistency. Would you please allow me some of this info at least?

-Well, you still have any doubt about how AWESOME I am? People should worship me. Everyone says how annoying I am but for sure are only jealus of my charisma, whose points are OVER 9.000!!
-And I'm quite a hit with the ladies. Not that they do anything to me, but I can see their desperate eyes when they look at me, it's my mojo: they have a hellova' time resisting hopping in this lap here!

• Powers and Abilities:

-Huh. Like I even needed any. Just my amazing way of seeing things just make everyone inferior!I am fluent in many languages and am also trained in everything needed to...unalive people. But yeah, for sure I got this sick healing factor that helps a little. I also make people look for shards of the fourth wall! Is your screen broken yet?

• Weapons and Equipment: Well, basicly anything used to cut, rip off, smash, crunch, burn, explode-sometimes from within- and obliterate people that are on my surroundings and/or that I bough. And sometimes borrowed from another planet or reality.

Well, it is pretty similar to how Deadpool's been portrayed before... But I'd like you to clean up the sign-up somewhat before I can take it into serious consideration.

For a quick tip, you can create bullet points by putting an asterix at the start of a line. Also, for images, you can create a link by putting [[the image url and a space at the front of a word, and then a ]] right behind it.

Okay...that was more for fun than anything. Did you guys like it? Thanks for The tips anyway. Was wondering why I couldn't paste bullet points, haha. What can I fix for you in my file? (Edit - after a while I figured it out. Sorry, not really used to forums, but people praise me as a roleplayer. So, your tips were folowed on my "file", any more problems with writing or the content you can tell me and I'll fix it as well)

Well, Kyef, m'boy, you've certainly got the energy down pat. I'm a little bit irked by the paragraphs clumping together a LOT of text at once, but such lessons on formatting may come in time. You might try having a look at the Show Markup Help button, right below the 'Save draft and go back' button, to see how you could add a bit more flavour to the text.

Other than that, I'm tempted to say 'accepted', and give you the link to the threads you'll be needing.

Okay, I think I fixed about most everything wrong...if there is anything left please let me know. Or any suggestions, still figuring out how to make the whole boxes-thingy. That and...I'd like to discuss a way to limit my self-counciousness as a RPG character playing as Deadpool, so it's not a gamebreaker.

Drop in on the Discussion Thread to ingratiate yourself with the locals, and then try out the Game Thread Proper when you feel you're good and ready.

Just have Deadpool's talking to himself be just that- he's crazy, so having voices in his head is OK. He can believe he's a comic book character all he wants, as long as it doesn't give him knowledge he couldn't possibly have, such as "I know Peter Parker is Spider-Man, I read it in a comic book."

The thing with self-awareness of being a character is that in an RPG it can go really bad. Just imagine a character shouting things like "Ha, you should have rolled higher, you are never getting past my Armor Points with that 5!" Or Deadpool telling me if I don't have anything better to do than playing him in an RP forum. Breaking the fourth wall in this RP should be a little more subtle, don't you think?

You can probably be blatant about it once or twice every story arc, but don't use it constantly.

As a rule of thumb I think the fourth wall stuff is only bad when it's used as an excuse for metagaming.

I think it'll be mostly a case of "We'll give you the go-ahead and trust you to do it right, then let you know to dial it down if you ever do go overboard."

• Real Name: Peter Parker
• Gender: Male
• Age: late 20s
• Appearance: [1]◊
• Alignment: Hero, Neutral Good.
• Personality: Spidey is a snarker, and a teaser: he jokes when starts to gets nervous and uncofortable. He relies on his brilliant brains and his teasing for defeating enemies.
  When not facing anyone, he tends to joke, too, but would give anything he's got to do what he thinks it's right, only stopping if it's anyone else's life.
  Peter is the definition of altruism and is the kind of gentle guy who would set himself on fire to make others warm: his guilt over Uncle Ben's Death makes him feel responsible for any act of violence and/or atrocities he doesn't stop.
  He's genre savvy, romantic, naïve, and he is also pretty loyal. While his behaviour can present itself very bad for his always continuously messed-up life as an individual, his adventures as a web-swinger are doubtless highly necessary for the well being of new york citizens, even if the police and press are always onto him.
  Recently finding the sybionte suit, he has been prone to mood swings, becoming Darker and Edgier and being more reckless and agressive.
• Powers and Abilities: Peter has enhanced senses and a spider sense that warns him when something is not right or there is a danger coming. He also can climb walls, and has great agility and flexibility, being able to do huge leaps and impressive acrobatic feats. He also has enhanced strength as that of a spider. Besides his special powers, Peter is the son of two scientists and has the one of the better intellects in the Marvel universe.
  His symbionte suit increases his performance, increasing his agility, skill and strengh even farther, but at a cost he himself doesn't yet know.

• Weapons and Equipment: He has web shooters that he invented so he could use it for multiple purposes(currently replaced for his suit), and sometimes he also messes with technology to make little tracker devices and such.
• Origin: Peter was bit by a radioactive spider, and got spider powers out of it. Inicially using to wrestle in rings for money, he decides to become spider-man after a thug he doesn't stop kills his Uncle Ben, with the following saying: "With great powers come great responsability."

Supaidaman!!

• Name: Scramble

• Real Name: Lionel Jeffries

• Gender: Male

• Age: Twenty-two

• Appearance: Supposedly a Canadian, Lionel Jeffries did once look normal... But ever since becoming the crazed Scramble, his body frequently looks inhuman and even flat out monstrous. He does however keep a mostly humanoid structure, and in his saner moments looks like a handsome blonde male.

• Alignment: Neutral...ish (He mainly acts out on his desires, whatever that is, leading him to "act" as hero or villain when wanted)

• Personality: Before messing with his power, Lionel was a moral man who wanted to do what he could to make the world a better place. Thus, acquiring his ability to manipulate organic matter naturally led him to become a healer, though he also firmly believed that punching people out was less hero and more egomania. Therefore, Lionel avoided sticking out, and though it wounded him not being able to use his power fully he much preferred partial use than needing to run away from unsavory sorts that would abuse his power. Prior to manifesting his power, Lionel was also extremely fond of theater which resulted in silly attempts to be dramatic.
  • However, after noting mental errors after the very first time he split apart and reformed his brain, Lionel tried to fix his mind. The unfortunate result was a demented shadow of himself, turning his fondness for theatrics into his very lifestyle. Now a man that actively seeks to join "dramas", Scramble will do just about anything he wants if he considers it a "interesting narrative". However, this also means if one knows how to properly interact with him, Scramble can be convinced to do anything by anyone.

• Powers and Abilities: Possessing the Mutant(?) ability to manipulate organic matter, his one main limitation is that he has to physically touch organic matter to do so. However, that also means he can completely control his body, and while he only used it for healing himself & others as Lionel as Scramble... He has learned to utterly defy natural functionality, resulting in him taking on monstrous forms to avoid damage, shaping his body into a ropey spear to sharply fly through the air, and supporting unsupportable structures. However, while he is capable of splitting apart his brain, if he doesn't react fast enough after doing so he'll instantly die. Thus, his brain is his one constant weak point. Other notable uses of his power as Scramble includes warping foreign biology (like stolen limbs or organs) to match his, forcing his body to be overall "better" physically (by forcing it to hold together or move faster), the ability to (de)fuse others together (though mainly just so he can ditch the monstrous body), and the capability to grant or (re)awaken superhuman abilities. The last example, however, doesn't work very well as he mostly has no idea how to make any of those abilities and thus subjects his victim to random bodily mutations. In a similar vein, trying to absorb or mimic genetic abilities he doesn't understand is worthless since he wouldn't even know how to use them.

• Weapons and Equipment: Due to the very... visceral nature of his fighting skill, Scramble doesn't carry any inorganic materials on himself. When he needs a weapon though, he frequently uses bone constructs, with hair being used as bindings and gags.

• Origin: The second child to a seemingly normal couple in Canada, Lionel and his brother Madison had been close ever since childhood that some would even call them joined at the hip. However, the two had a different idea of superhumans. To Madison, they were nothing more than lunatics that wanted battle. Lionel, on the other hand, was deeply intrigued by them wishing to become one of them so he could join their world. Thus, in order to try touching it, Lionel took a deep interest in theater and other such works. To say the least, waking up with superhuman abilities after surviving a bizarre chemical attack mutating people into stone was the happiest moment of his life. Though reigned in by Madison to be kept safe from those that would see him as a Mutant, Lionel was able to start a clinic using his power to heal people. However, after accidentally awakening a latent Mutant, Lionel was attacked by the child's parent accusing him of corrupting their child. Try as he did to convince them otherwise, Lionel knew he had only two choices: Die, or distort his head to avoid death. Deciding he very much liked helping people, Lionel chose Option B. Horrifying his attacker in the process, Lionel found himself uncharacteristically angry and walked up to his attacker-Rendering them blind and attacking them. Horrified at what he found himself doing, Madison helped him escape to allow things to cool down.

Lionel, however, needed to fix whatever he did to himself. Though with each failed attempt he became a little more mad, Lionel couldn't allow himself to hurt anyone else. Thus, in just a few days Lionel died, and Scramble the Mixed-Up Man took his place. Cackling with delightful glee at this turn of events, Scramble needed to do something now. He couldn't stay around Madison or any of Lionel's back-up plans, therefore he needed an idea. Hearing of the increasing presence of delightful extranormal activities, Scramble decided he might as well start at one of those places and see where his "story" takes him.
