Probably should have announced this three days ago, but oh well.

Superman related characters are now allowed in!

Yes, that's right, folks. Superman is now an established part of the Justice Avengers Universe. That means that it would be feasible for heroes and villains directly related to him to start cropping up!

Please note that he's only been active for three months so far, so careful how you do his backstory. Also there are some changes to Kryptonians in this verse to watch out for, and, as always, be reasonable in regard to strength levels. But apart from that, have a good time with it!

Name: Echo.

Real Name: Maya Lopez.

Gender: Female.

Age: Mid 20s.

Appearance: http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608040380037271461&pid=1.7

Alignment: Good.

Personality: She trusts most heroes but hates working with masked people due to her deafness making it hard for her to understand them.

Powers and Abilities: Can copy any fighting style but is unable to fight in any situation where her sight is unavailable.

Weapons and Equipment: Can take weapons from Mooks and use them against them.

Origin: Her father was killed by the Kingpin; the Kingpin, in return, took her in as his own. She was sent to a school for disabilities, where she excelled. When she was an adult, she found out Kingpin killed her father and blinded him in retaliation. Horrified by what she did, she decided to become a hero to help put people like Kingpin to justice without mutilating them. So basically her normal backstory.

I'm noticing a terminal lack of swamps or things in here, and by god I intend to fix that.

  • Name: Alec Holland
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 36
  • Appearance: As he is. A glimpse of the future.
  • Alignment: Good-ish
  • Personality: Alec's a fairly personable man, if a little too engaged in his line of work. He's often, jokingly, said that he prefers the company of plants to people, though that may have been true once, it's hardly applicable now. He's practically plant-phobic, though it's starting to fade a little now. He carries about him the air of a man who's seem just a little to much and isn't quite comfortable discussing it. Every day he's getting better, though, a little less haunted, a little closer back to his old, chatty self. Hopefully, it stays that way.
  • Powers and Abilities: In the increasingly small circle of friends that he keeps, Alec is "the plant guy". Whether it's rooting out weeds from your garden or genetically modifying a new strain of corn, Alec's your guy. Plants just seem to like him. A little too much.
Weapons and Equipment: Alec has a small personal laboratory, stocked with enough equipment to keep his research going for the next month or so. Also, a gun. Just a tiny little pistol, for self-defense purposes. He barely even knows how to fire it.
  • Origin: Often mentioned in the same breath as Jason Woodrue or Pamela Isley, Alec Holland is one of the world's fore most experts on botany. Not that it counts for much, when there's people who can fly or throw cars around like they were made of cardboard, but it's still something. Alec's field, specifically, is plant genetics. He's mostly worked in the commercial sector, helping modify crops and such, but apparently S.H.I.E.L.D saw a more productive use for his talents. About a couple months back, Alec was recruited for an experimental plant/animal hybridization project, codenamed Project: Taproot. He had the option to refuse, of course, but how could he? The paycheck was more than enough for him to accept their terms.
    • This was about when things started to go downhill. They had him set up shop in a wetlands research facility, out in the Everglades, along with scientists in a few related fields of study and a handful of lab techs. For the first few days, everything was going fine, until Alec was certain he was going crazy. The plants, you see, had started talking to him. Just little whispers at first, when everybody had gone to bed and it was just him toiling away in the lab. Tinny little screeches from the potted plants and the specimen jars, easily ignored, but as time passed they got louder. In a week, he heard them from outside the facility. In two weeks, he could distinguish the short, yappy barks of a seedpod from the slow, mountainous groan of an elderly tree. He didn't know what was going on, or why, but one thing was for certain. He needed to get out of Florida. After tendering his resignation and surrendering all of his Taproot research, Alec relocated to New York, the furthest thing away from a plant-friendly environment. Well, except Central Park, but he tries to stay away from there if he can manage it.

Name: Doctor Octopus

Real Name: Dr. Otto Octavius

Gender: Male

Age: Mid 30's

Appearance: here

Alignment: Evil

Personality: An extremely arrogant man who believes he is one of, if not the, smartest man on the face of the planet, Otto is highly dismissive of anyone who does not meet his extremely high intellectual standards. Anyone who is able manages to impress him (No easy feat) will earn his grudging respect. Not that it'll stop him from trying to kill them if he has to, of course.

Powers and Abilities: Super Strength-Not from himself, but his mechanical arms are more then capable of packing quite a punch

Intelligent-As one of the smartest villains in the Spider Man rouges gallery, and the Marvel universe in general, Otto is highly intelligent, and more then capable of putting said intelligence to use in developing plans and strategy's for fights against heroes.

Adaptable-Otto learns from his mistakes, and is unlikely to allow the same trick to work twice on him if there is a way he can prepare for it for the next fight.

Sensitive to light-There's a reason this guy always has on sunglasses. The acident that caused him to turn evil also affected his vision, making him sensitive to light in addition to his original need for them. His glasses are specially made to allow him normal vision while compensating for this. If one can knock them off, it will stop him for a bit. Knocking them off, however, is the hard part.

Weapons and Equipment: Mechanical arms-His most iconic feature, and what one is likely to notice before anything else. Originally designed to handle dangerous materials one could not handle by hand, the arms are resistant to most any substance one can find on earth. They are also fused to Otto's spine, and are not able to be removed.

Sunglasses-Detailed above

Origin: Born in New York, Otto was abused by his father. Not wanting to be like him, Otto put all of his time into school, and got top grades. This resulted in him being teased and bullied in school. When he graduated with his degree, he would be given the derogatory nickname 'Doctor Octopus' by coworkers. He would go on to become a nuclear physicist, atomic research consultant, inventor, and lecturer. He eventually invented a set of mechanical arms that could be used to safely handle nuclear material with no risk to the user. Unfortunately, a radiation leak caused an explosion that fused the arms to Otto's spine. When he woke up, he destroyed the hospital he was in, declared himself Doctor Octopus, and turned to a life of crime, driven by his hatred of a world that, in his mind, had rejected him.

All sounds pretty good, Meanken. Personally, I never much cared for the brain-damage reason for turning evil, but I won't dissuade you from using it yourself if you so wish.

[up] Ya, I was considering going with the Spider Man 2 explanation of him being dominated by the AI of the arms, and had him struggling to control it, and mostly fail, but I've already got a split personality thing going down with Two Face, wanted something different here.

There's also the origin given in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series (Yeah, I know, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine.) In there, the accident paralysed Octavius from the neck down, forcing him to rely on the robot tentacles. There, his evil seemed to just generally stem from bitterness against the world, and Osborn in particular for continually exploiting him.

Not so keen on the whole paralysis thing, but I could switch the motivation to the whole bitterness thing. Too late to change it?

So, here it is. Tell me if you see anything wrong. I decided to link Ollie's former bankruptcy with Felicity Smoak's intro. I also plan on having Speedy be under Ollie's roof - although if any future player wants to play as him (either as Speedy as Arsenal), I made sure to make him a late teenager to make the transition to those two identities easier. I also plan on having Ollie and Black Canary not be in a relationship currently (again - to make any prospective future players have a means of signing up for her). Star City, according to Wikipedia, was once mentioned to be located in Connecticut so that's the location I have in mind to better have GA near New York and the action. Let me know what you think.

  • Name: Green Arrow
  • Real Name: Oliver Queen
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Late 20's/Early 30's
  • Appearance: A most dashing figure.
  • Alignment: Good
  • Personality: Oliver Queen is a decidedly progressive and hot blooded sort of person. He is a liberal at heart and firmly believes that those from the top should give all they can to those at the bottom. Ollie is a bit boisterous and will not hesitate to shout his opinion - even if nobody asked for it. He is also not above taking personal revenge for himself if somebody has wronged him. Deep down, Ollie cares deeply for people and wants to do all that he can to make the world a better place.
  • Powers and Abilities: No super powers but he is one of the world's greatest archers. Archery is his greatest skill but he is also knowledgeable in business (due to his CEO position), martial arts, cooking (ask about his infamous chili), and in the skills of womanizing. He is in peak physical condition. Has some skill in fletching - after all, someone has to be making all of his trick arrows.
  • Weapons and Equipment: Owns a green motorcycle for getting around with. Also has a wooden recurve bow and a quiver full of arrows. Most of the arrows in his quiver are standard but he is developing trick arrows all the time. In his quiver now are..
    • Boxing Glove Arrow - His most famous arrow. Big green boxing glove on the end. Used for nonlethal takedown
    • Smokescreen Arrow - An arrow that, when fired, acts as a smokebomb. Used for misdirection or a quick getaway.
    • Paint Arrow - An arrow that, on contact, covers its target with paint. Because you never know...
    • Net Arrow - contains a spring-loaded nylon mesh which is released and entangles the target on impact
    • Zipline Arrow - Actually two arrows connected together with a line. Ollie can stick one in a wall or ceiling and then shoot the other one to another building - thereby creating a zipline that he can slide down on with his bow.
    • Explosive Arrow - Exactly What It Says on the Tin
    • EMP Arrow - Arrow that shuts down on nearby electronic devices
  • Origin: Oliver Queen was born into money - though not quite to the extent of somebody like Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark. He went to private school and then college to study business to take over Queen Industries from his father. Bored of all that, Ollie constantly screwed around and often got into trouble with the college. Queen's immature tendencies continued after college. Despite a high paying job at his father's company, Queen slacked off in his job and was more interested in scoring with the ladies than with business. Unfortunately this did not cease when his parents were killed in a plane accident en route to a safari. At 26 years old, Oliver Queen was reluctantly given control of the company.

Profits fell with the irresponsible Queen in charge of the company but nobody wanted to say anything. After a boat cruise ended with Queen discovering that his supposed friend and bodyguard Hackett had betrayed him, the young CEO jumped ship and headed to an island - partly to escape Hackett and partly to escape the world that he saw as cruel. On the island, he discovered that it wasn't quite as uninhabited as it would appear. Learning how to live off the land with a bow and arrow, Queen soon developed his talents as an archer. With his new skills, Oliver busted the opium ring that existed on the island - the opium ring that Hackett was a part of. Feeling enamored by his heroism, Oliver Queen decided to use his skills for good and adopted his superheroic persona - the Green Arrow.

Star City soon fell under the protection of the Green Arrow and Ollie's life got better. Profits started to pick up again at Queen Industries, Oliver managed to adopt a ward named Roy Harper (who became his sidekick Speedy), and started an on-again/off-again relationship with the elusive martial artist Black Canary. Things were going great until a mysterious hacker managed to steal a lot of Queen's money. Broke for a time, the Green Arrow eventually tracked the hacker. Named Felicity Smoak, Queen saw a lot of promise in the hacker and got her a job with Queen Industries as an IT consultant in exchange for the return of his money. Smoak now serves as Mission Control for Ollie during his superheroics. With a team of heroes backing him, Ollie continues to be ready to do as much good for the world as he can.

Okay, signing up for Hub City, on the advice of someone.

Name: Arnold Wesker and Scarface.

Real Name: Arnold Wesker and Scarface.

Gender: Both male, although Scarface is a possibly sentient puppet.

Age: Arnold is in his early thirties. Scarface has the mindset of being a grizzled veteran. Late thirties.

Appearance: Arnold is bald. He has glasses. Quiet, shy, slight of frame. Scarface is a typical ventriloquist dummy's size. He has a scowl on his face and scars. He wears a trenchcoat. Arnold has a goofy bow tie and nerdy clothes. Nerdy as in the stereotypical nerd. Picture.

Alignment: Scarface is evil. Arnold constantly claims to be following Scarface's orders and that he's too scared to disobey him. Still, based on the possibility that Arnold is subconsciously voicing Scarface and won't admit it, evil. He won't go as far. For example, in a crossover comic, Arnold once said that he loves children and wouldn't harm them, but Scarface would.

Personality: Arnold is meek and quiet. He'll typically stand around, waiting for Scarface to tell him to do something. Scarface is the boss. He controls everything. Rude, domineering, arrogant, cruel.

Powers And Abilities: For both, none.

Weapons And Equipment: Whatever they can get their hands on. Preferably, guns.

'''Origin:"' In the comics, Arnold went to jail after a fight in a bar and received a puppet. He subconsciously pins everything on it. In my origin, he can't remember a time without it. Scarface knows what happened, but he's not talking. Mention it and die.

  • Name: Machine Man
  • Real Name: Aaron Stack/Robot X-51
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Mid-20's
  • Appearance: Black hair, with large bright red, bug-like eyes. Is clad in a Dark Purple spandex suit with a tan overcoat thrown on over it.
  • Alignment: Good
  • Personality: Machine Man is cool and collected to an almost disturbing degree. Despite his normally logical demeanor, he constantly belittles and insults humans, referring to them as "Fleshy Ones." Unsurprisingly, he takes great pride in his robotic parts, and he is also very fond of alcohol.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Machine Man's titanium alloy construction means he’s incredibly resilient to damage, and his "wave-modifying coating" is a protective barrier to energy attacks.
    • He’s capable of anti-gravity flight, as well as extending his limbs to extreme lengths. He has sufficient strength to throw cars around like playthings.
    • The tips of his fingers can transform into pistols, lasers, radars, audiometers, gravity wave detectors, computer inputs and outputs, radio transceivers, cutting torches, and more… anything he needs.
    • Aaron keeps spare fingertips in belt pouches. Machine Man uses solar energy to power his body, and when denied it long enough, he will shut down.
Weapons and Equipment: None besides the devices built into his own body.
  • Origin: Robot X-51 was part of a top-secret government program designed to create a robot who could think like a man. One of the scientists on the program, Dr. Abel Stack, understood that no robot would be able to think like a man unless it was treated like one. Stealing X-51 and working in secret, he built the robot a human-like face and began treating it as human. When the other robots began displaying personality defects, the government shut down the program by activating the self-destruct sequence in all robots. Dr. Stack died deactivating X-51’s self-destruct. Machine Man took on a human name, Aaron Stack (after his "father"), and began to live among humanity, hiding the truth of his origins. He began work as insurance investigator for the Delmar Insurance Company, before deciding to use his abilities to fight crime.
