AKB 0048, one of the still running Spring 2012 shows, can't believe we don't have a thread about this yet...

Hopefully we're going to get much more clarification on the Kirara Succession thing soon (And have Chieri stop worrying, she'd her Kirara only glows when her and Nagisa are together if she stopped angsting for a second and thought about it she'd notice). The Center Nova plot seems really interesting! Especially since Yuuko wants the position despite being there when Acchan [WMG] was assimilated into the Kirara's collective being?

Speaking of which Yuuko and Mariko Tsubasa seem to have been in 00 together but Tsubasa is much older now, was Yuuko Sonata's age when she joined? Is that why Tsubasa let Sonata join?

I wonder if Ms. Photographer/Runaway Center will show up more often...

Poor Makoto, at least she got her painfullybig!boobs for a while...

I must admit this is probably my favourite anime at the moment with some great music and an interesting plot.

I think the photographer will turn up again seeing as she said she will stop Tsubasa re-establishing the Centre Nova position.

Well well well, it looks like people were wrong about the episode count, as it sure feels like the show is diving head-on into a conclusion with the girls' return to Lancastar. Kind of jarring, especially after the "beach episode with PLOT" episode.

Things do seem to be coming to a head quite quickly. Wikipedia (not the best source admittedly) has the next episode as the Season 1 finale but I don't know whether that is wishful thinking or if there is going to be further seasons.

I did think Yuka's 'friend' would be a member of the anti-entertainment forces rather than a WOTA though.

Wrong. There are still two more episodes.

I should know not to trust wikipedia.

Wait, is the episode count 13 or 22? Because I can see the 'Lancastar Finale' happening, but we still haven't dealt with the Center Nova and I'm not seeing Takamina graduating just yet...

Or is this two-cour, with the other Cour later this year?

Poor Orine, she's being threatened with a machine she helped build...

This weeks episode was pretty amazing, I really liked it, though I did want to see the concert...

Well, at least we now know where the Kirara are from.

Kind of blows for Megumi though, but I suppose that's where Mimori's perspective on things comes in.

And concert is cancelled. Of course.

If this ends next episode it'll be Symphogear levels of rushed, since we still have nothing as of the Center Nova plot and there just seems to be a lot they still want to do.

Now, who was surprised that Acchan would make an appearance in the flesh in this one? Especially given the mystery of her (and the other Center Nova) disappearance.

Has the episode aired yet? I'm pretty sure it hasn't aired yet...

The preview just went up for the episode. I'm pretty sure though that Acchan's appearance is a flashback of sorts though.

Oh...

I still think Acchan was assimilated into the Kirara hive mind, though I have no idea whether they'd actually do that (And I wonder how the actual Atsuko Maeda would feel about that).

That's great, though it would have been nice to tell us which season it'll air in.

So how good is this series? Is it dependent on a second season?

It's a lot of goofy fun, especially if you can take the idea of galactic idol freedom fighters without rolling your eyes. The last episode though, as it was, doesn't really resolve anything, and just leaves things open for the second part (the so-called Center nominations).

Episode 1 of Next Stage is out early. Though admittedly it is a RAW and not subbed.

I was amused watching the first episode to see how much the premise reminded me of a story I read in Bunty (a British girls' comic) back in the early 80s. Minus idol singers, plus ballet.
