Magic: The Gathering (Spoiler-free)

Well, my Fat Pack yielded an Expeditions Steam Vents. Yay!

And now cones the tedious task of re-sorting my commons and uncommons boxes.

Also, Mark Rosewater on the Player's Guide spoilers.

Got my fat pack, opened four of the boosters. (I was going to save six of them for a Winchester draft with my regular opponent, but a) I had most of a crappy converge/allies hybrid deck already and b) he's out of town for two weeks, so I'm going to grab what I can.)

No Expeditions, but I did get both Gideon and Ob Nixilis so I'm calling this a success. Unfortunately my Eldrazi stuff so far is a bit scattered so I can't build a deck for them yet, but BG Devoid looks like it has the most toys so far.

I realise it's been ages since this was really a thing, but does anybody want a game over Cockatrice?

Are there up-to-date files to update the program with?

Woogerworks has the most recent program update, and running Oracle from there will get you up-to-date cards. (I also had to create a new account since they don't allow spaces any more, but that's not too disastrous.)

Is BFZ on it yet?

When Oracle is run, yes it is.

Make sure your Cockatrice program is up to date - mine was only a few weeks old and it couldn't connect.

I've heard good things about Hangarback Walker.

There's an artifact subtheme in Origins and "colourless matters" subthemes in both Khans block and Battle for Zendikar.

Uncharted Realms: Nissa's Resolve

Oddly enough, I've kind of reached a weird point where I'm seeing "Oh look, a Nissa story" and then just not even bothered with it.

That the last story they had centered around her seemingly had nothing of value happen helps a lot.

This was a pretty good one, allowing us to catch up with a character many have been wondering about.

And by that he means Ob Nixilis is in it.

Cockatrice already had BFZ right after the set was fully spoiled (i.e. late Sept).

Okay, honestly, this being Ob Nixilis was kind of a relief. When she ventured into the caves to find that someone had been messing with hedrons, and the text said "or claws," my first thought was subterranean Kozilek brood shenanigans.

A change for the better. There were so many dropouts in the GP's first round this year because they didn't want to give up on their Tarmogoyfs and such.

I am now three Eldrazi decks richer than I was this time yesterday, so does anybody want a scrap?
