Hey, check this out!
Jace is kind of a different thing than Bolas, though, considering he's not only one of the Lorwyn 5, but the most popular. Idk, it could happen, but I'd find Bolas returning really boring, since... he's really boring. On a more logical note, if he wins, the entire block changed nothing in the grand scheme of things, and if Ugin wins, the fight was fairly pointless (unless he kills Bolas, which seems unlikely). Besides that, I kind of question why Bolas would have taken 1000 years to do so, unless... time on different planes is different, which I guess is likely the case.
Idk, I'd prefer to see an entirely new planeswalker in addition to (possibly) Narset. There were no new planeswalkers in any of the other Tarkir sets bar Ugin, so I don't see having 2 new ones in dragons (especially a dragon one) being much of a stretch.
Edit: On another note, I just noticed that in this◊ card's art, there's Dromoka's symbol on a banner... Which reinforces my hunch that dragon broods will replace the clans as humanoid factions... As dragons tend not to have need for banners.
Also, this flavor text◊. Kolaghan goblins, eh?

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''If Sarkhan ceases to exist I'm going to be very, very pissed.
First Elspeth, now Sarkhan. STOP KILLING EVERYTHING I LOVE.
What's going to be next? Chandra?
They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardMaybe you should start following Maro's lead and keep your favorite Planeswalkers a secret.
I think if anyone kills Chandra she'll just outburn Hell until it lets her go.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Doug on the effects on other planes' histories (or the lack thereof)

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''Right... VRASKA IS SO COOL HUH GUYS?
Now that's something I'd like to see. But I believe that, sans burning, is going to be pretty much Elspeth storyline.
They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardNot a fan of Vraska, I take it?
It's not like we see very much of her anyway.
She had an interesting backstory, then just turned into an "I want to take over the world" villain. It was disappointing.
Agreed. I really liked Vraska before the UR documenting the Duel Decks made her generic.
I stopped listening after you said "We need a plan."Yes. Jace made her look like a chump, which is wrong because she is cool and in fact it is Jace that is the chump! Also she needs a card with a way better + ability.
Can I get an info drop on what that backstory is? All I know about her is her UR story and the card.
IIRC: She was living rather peacefully among the Golgari until Azorius brutality resulted in many of her friends being arrested and Vraska nearly being beaten to death, which caused her spark to ignite. Thus, she became a vigilante bent on payback against the Azorius who seemed more like an Anti-Villain or even an Anti-Hero.
I stopped listening after you said "We need a plan."Ah. Must have missed that.
Oh yeah, I read that some time ago and didn't remember it until now. It was pretty neat, now that I think about it.
It's not that I dislike her, she's just the first planeswalker that came to mind when I thought of Planeswalkers I don't care about.

They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardShe's definitely up there on that list. I don't really have any planeswalkers that I actually dislike (though I used to hate Elspeth before Theros), but there are a ton that I just forget about. Vraska, Domri, Chandra (I like Chandra, but she's done jack squat in the main story so far), Tamiyo, etc.
I hope some of these walkers who were mostly just there to be cards get pulled into the story a bit more. I'd like to see more Tamiyo, as a planeswalker representing a slice of Blue's color pie outside of mental magic.
Chandra was involved in the Zendikar storyline.
"Doctor Who means never having to say you're kidding." - BocajShe showed up, popped the Eye of Ugin and then left. I wouldn't really call that involved like Sarkhan, Sorin and Nissa were.
But let's look at the other people from the Zendikar block:
- Nissa hasn't done much else. She showed up in M15 but storyline wise hasn't really done anything worth noting after the Eldrazi were released.
- Sorin had his deal on Innistrad (where we was a major player in the vampire/Avacyn storyline, but a minor one in the overall set with Garruk/Liliana being the major ones). He also showed up on Tarkir, though hasn't done much there yet.
- Sarkhan helped the set the Eldrazi free, and not much else. However, his connection to the area is compounded with the fact that Ugin was talking specifically to him, making his part in releasing the Eldrazi much more relevant than Chandra or Jace's. He then showed up on Tarkir and we all know the story.
- Jace didn't do much on Zendikar either. He showed up, freed the Eldrazi and then wandered to Ravnica to work on the Implicit Maze. However, this ended up with him becoming the Guildpact and essential ruler of Ravnica (in the sense of mediating inter guild conflicts, of which there are many).
- Chandra set the Eldrazi free and has done nothing else in the cards since then.
That is not true. She has done plenty in the cards.
Well, she's set plenty of things on fire at least.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents. And let's face it, lighting things on fire is fun.
At least when nobodies getting actually hurt.
Technically, I think she had a part in some M14 storyline, but I'm not sure how well that was all handled in their attempt to make her the face of that set.
Could be that part of the reason people like her so much is that she's a modern-day stand in Jaya.
I'm not saying that I dislike Chandra, but the M14 story was basically nonexistent, especially compared to M15.
How can you forget her compelling battle with the planeswalker Ramaz from Dot P 2014? Seriously, I want to know how to forget this because it was awful.
Prediction: Dragons will feature a new Bolas PW card, as he shows up in the new future to finish the job. This will lead to us getting Duel Decks: Ugin vs. Bolas in early 2016.
I mean, think about it. The past three years in a row we had PW Duel Decks featuring two Planeswalkers that did not only show up in the previous block, but also got new cards there. And since Jace vs. Vraska is a thing that happened, it wouldn't be the first time that a PW who already had a Duel Deck once is featured a second time with a new card.
Also, who else in the Tarkir block would be eligible for a Duel Deck? Sarkhan, Ugin and Sorin are all allies in a sense, and I can't really see wizards introducing a completely new hostile element to them in Dragons.
