I am still heavily speculating that we will see Slivers taking over Ravnica in RTR.

My current speculation is that the plane after Return block will be Shandalar. It's a much-beloved plane due to its role in the DOTP series but has never been formally visited. Plus, the only M13 legend who isn't from somewhere we've already been is from Shandalar.

But M13 is unreleased...

I hope we'll see something different than shocklands.

Given that Wizards officially reveals each set in its entirety online, the date of such event will be considered the release date for the purposes of things no longer being spoilers.

@Lovecrafter: Why would you not want them? They're good for Standard and reprinting them helps make Modern affordable.

Though all in all there's little point in trying to actually discuss RTR at this point since we've got nothing revealed about it. Speculation isn't really spoilers anyway.

Mostly because that's all that RTR seems to be about for most players. I agree that keeping things affordable is a good cause (although I'm not sure the impact would be that great), but I'd rather see those slots used for something new and exciting (although that's obviously a best-case scenario).

Dual lands are rarely new and exciting.

And of course it's all RTR is about right now: we have no idea what else is in it yet!

We knoow there's Jace, probably being a douche, and maybe Niv.

Well, yeah, but we don't know anything about them cardwise...or even flavourwise for that matter, really.

I still stand by my theory that Jarad will get a card, and that he and the new Niv will be the foil mythics in Izzet vs. Golgari.

And gold cards. Which is always fun.

I predict more dual colored planeswalkers.

Fits with Ravnica and its significance with the planeswalkers and its guilds

I predict massive paradigm shift, with the guilds merged in enemy-wedge combinations.

Because I want an enemy-wedge block.

Could someone refresh me on the current state of affairs in Ravnica? I remember that Jace and Nissa traveled there once, Jace hung out with Niv and Nissa had a panic attack of some sort.

Jace more or less lives there at the moment, running the cell of the former Infinite Consortium.

The guilds don't exist anymore, but there are various successor organizations with varying degrees of corruptitude. Overall it's likely better than it was under guild rule.

Other 'walkers who have been sighted on Ravnica include Gideon, Liliana, and Tezzeret.

We're not gonna get ANOTHER Liliana card are we? I am looking forward to Gideon though. You think he's going to be a meatshield again?

Gideon is on Zendikar.

You know that Planeswalkers can Walk to other Planes pretty easily, right?

And I think Nyk meant that we know that Gideon was on Ravnica before.

Doubt Liliana gets a second one right after her brand new M13 iteration (who will rotate at the same time).

Garruk got his double-faced version right after his M12 version.

I don't think we'll see another Liliana so soon though, I think it'll be one of the 'walkers that hasn't had three versions yet.
