Does Not Illustrate: Designated Victim

This image is awful. It's just a few people talking about unrelated stuff, it wouldn't make a dot of sense for the page image if it wasn't for the caption. Not only is the caption carrying all the weight, I'm not even convinced the image IS an example. Stuff happens to Elan, but he only gets captured 2-3 times. Hell, it isn't even listed on the page itself. Surely we can do better.

EDIT: Ah...this should probably be "does not illustrate", could someone change it please?

Remember to CamelCase the article link. I've also asked for the mods to change the title. Anyway, Keep Until Better Image Suggested — it isn't very strong, but I wouldn't call it pullable-without-replacement. Got no ideas at the moment, though.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I'd say Keep Until Better Image Suggested. We could do much better, though.

Here's a gallery that solely collects art of Robin getting taken hostage/being the victim of several villains. Maybe 2-3 pictures from here?

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.

Being captured isn't the only way to be victimized. No great love for OOTS art but it's okay.

Well, I found a couple of alternatives, maybe?

[up] The second's no good unless we get permission, as it's a single-panel cartoon. The third's funny, but wouldn't work as a page pic...good for Image Links, though. The first...first panel or third?

I like the third panel. There's something subtle about it that tells you it's happened before...

The third panel of the Mario comic is good. If we decide we need a caption, it could be something like "That's the third time that's happened this week".

The third panel is better than the current image...but remember, we don't need to limit ourselves to someone being captured. It's something bad happening to someone all the time. Kenny from South Park is a good example of this, but I'm pretty sure there is a death specific version of this trope which uses him as the page image.

Bump...one or two more votes for the third panel of the Mario comic and we can run with it.

Third panel of Mario comic.

Alrighty...it's up and tagged, and I put the actual comic in the caption. Locking up.
