Alt account of Angeldog 2437.There is a brand of cheese spread sold over here in funny spelling land, called "Philadelphia", and they have recently launched a variety of said cheese spread blended, and I kid you not, with chocolate.
S'actually quite nice.
Anyway, bought some nice mild coloured cheddar, some nice Hovis wholemeal bread and that leaves me to get the Branston.
Yum.
Best tomato soup is made by Heinz. Cream of Tomato. Add a dash of milk for taste and it makes excellent dunking liquid for yer grilled cheese sanvitch.

Be not afraid...I dip my grilled cheese in ketchup.

Yep, Philadelphia is a brand of cream cheese, which is somewhat similar to mascarpone. I can see it going well with chocolate.

I like tomato soup with a grilled cheese, I can see having a tomato in it, but it's weird. Ketchup? No.
Does anybody call the sandwich something different? I've encountered exactly one person who calls them "cheese toasties".

Booky, you can't exactly have a sandwich without bread, y'know.
