We have no idea what the public thinks of the team. ... in fact, it's like the movie goes out of its way to NOT HAVE ANY crowds in the scenes where the team is spying or fighting!
I watched the movie the past weekend, and the more I think about it the more I enjoyed it.
When I came out of theaters, I sort of had the same feeling as Frozen; that there was such a push on a certain theme to be subverted that everything else wasn't really paced too well in terms of development. However, as I thought about it, I realized I enjoyed the execution more than Frozen. And that while the movie does focus on grief, it's also tying a message of progress with it.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsWell, the newspaper clippings at the end show them shaking hands with... the mayor or something? So I think folks are cool.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think that was more or less because the school was providing Tadashi with his own memorial building and Hiro was shaking hands with the dean, in honor of his brother's memory
then again, it could just as easily be both.
One of the things I'm curious about since thinking about the film- Was Hiro always hell bent on revenge on trying to kill Yokai, or does anyone think his desire to destroy was merely in the heat of the moment? Personally, I think it's the latter otherwise I can't imagine him expecting his friends to help him.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I think it's the latter. He said he wanted to catch him, if I remember. But finding out who was behind it was just too much and he snapped.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI agree with that too- really the only thing that's throwing me off a bit is when Hiro realizes that the fire might not have been an accident and says "The masked man, he started the fire. He's responsible for Tadashi" and the animation plays with the shadows on his face when he says that.
I might be reading too deeply into it but considering how expensive animation is, I'm leaning towards it being intentional and foreshadowing.

Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.I do think that dark thoughts were beginning to seep into his head at that point, and everything is building up to the moment on the island. At the end of the scene when he and Baymax are chilling on the balloon, you can see Hiro is already a bit agitated.
It would be interesting to wonder what Hiro might have done differently if Yokai was exactly who everyone suspected.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think one thing that pushed Hiro over the edge was how callous Callaghan was about Tadashi's death. Might have been different if his reaction to the news was, say, shock.
Fred gave those nicknames to them. They mentioned it right before Fred came in.
In Wasabi's case he said something like: "I spill Wasabi on my shirt one time!", as he was walking through a door.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Concept Art of Big Hero 6, as well as Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, and Paperman

So now that Big Hero has been out, what do you guys think will be front runner for Best Animated Film this year?
Probably Big Hero 6 vs. LEGO Movie. One of the two.
My various fanfics.HTTYD 2 was my personal favorite this year.
Strangely enough, despite my obvious love for Big Hero 6, I'm still gunning for Lego to win best picture. If the Academy can give a movie based around building blocks BAF, it will more than make up their missed opportunity in awarding an animated film based around video games.

.... oh wait. I forgot. You're the Academy. You mostly never even WATCH the Best Animated Feature categories on completetly idiotic fantasies about animation only being for kids!
Is The Tale of Princess Kaguya eligible for nomination in the Academy Awards this year? 'cause if yes, I see it possibly winning due to being Isao "Grave of the Fireflies" Takahata's last film (and this isn't like Miyazaki who had around five "last" films), and as a farewell to Studio Ghibli.
I think so!

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Went to see it again tonight. Original plan was to see it on Wednesday in Saginaw while my mom was attending a limited release of a presentation by financial planner Dave Ramsey (one day only at certain theaters, and one of the two multiplexes in Saginaw was the only local one showing it), but it was snowing very badly that day so we didn't go. Tonight was my compensation for that. At the same itty bitty one-screener in the small town I lived in until August.
I don't think I picked up on anything that I missed the first time around, but that may just be a testament as to how much I wanted to take it all in the first time. The only difference was that I stayed for the post-credits scene... and I was the only one who did, too. Other than that, I just enjoyed the ride again. So many feels moments. It's almost like Disney tailored this JUST for all the movie interests I'm starting to develop. Cuteness, future tech, awesome-looking future cities, humor, quirky superhero teams, underdog heroes, Asian characters, people who are smart and can kick ass... the list goes on and on.
Also, anyone think that Go Go looks kinda like a grown up Juniper Lee? She even has the same purple streak in her hair!
One of my favorite subversions that this movie pulled off was right in the beginning when Hiro has his bot fight. I hate the "Young inexperienced person enters a competition they're entirely underqualified for and gets both completely pwned and humiliated" trope (Do we have a trope for that?). Finally, I wanna see more about that goth girl who got defeated in the bot fight before him...
Maybe I've seen too many movies like this, but I saw Megabot kicking seven shades of ass out of that Musha Gundam-looking bot coming a mile away.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatHaha, luckily when I went, the theater announcer (I went to Arclight) told us to make sure to stay for the credits scene because, you know, it's a Marvel movie. I would've stayed anyway, though. Also, Dave Rmsey was a big part of my financial planning class.
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a movie where the main character has a "weak" bot that ultimately loses.
Isn't that trope just Curb-Stomp Battle?

Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. Also, that lady who collected the money at the bot fight◊ is pretty much a shout out to the Fujitas, an unused villain concept.◊ She basically has the hair, height and umbrella of the leftmost one and the eyepatch of the one on the right. Considering there are multiple concepts for them, this was probably one of the most final pieces of artwork for them.
I mean, there are probably very good reasons they didn't make it in, but I like that they retained some of these concepts for the film.
Heck, maybe she still does all that on the side.

The public doesn't seem to know their "hero names". And Baymax doesn't look exactly the same in armor.
