Suggestion: Magic Pants

Cracked.com made a great composite of Magic Pants-owning comic characters today, located at http://i.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/article/0/3/8/135038.jpg?v=1.

I think it surpasses the current image in terms of showing the trope's ubiquity, but I can see why people would think otherwise. What are your opinions?

There's a problem with that picture. Killer Croc and The Thing are more or less permanently big, so they don't go through the puny human - big monster transition that destroys clothes but keeps pants, which means they aren't examples. Plus, it doesn't show the before and after sequence that the original picture does for all of the characters.

Yes, I think the current image is fine. Maybe it could use a caption of some sort, though.

Actually I think most of the characters in the OP's image are permanently big, making it pretty terrible.

The caption suggestion is fine.

I've added the the suggested caption to the page, since we seem to be in agreement.

I don't like it. Two frames and an explain-the-trope caption? This isn't the page quote, description, and laconic.

Also the image already has a bunch of captions (disguised as speech bubbles) on it.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

Almost none of which have to do with the trope.

Although if we're to nitpick things, the image is amazingly tall. It's four bullets into the Anime & Manga section on my end.

Is just the second frame good? Prefer one frame and that caption, to two frames and no caption, by a mile.

Makes sense to me.

I suppose the first panel wasn't really adding anything. I'd say this is an improvement.

Just that part is fine.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

This is sufficient.
