Code Geass: BotR III: Discussion:

Perpetually Disappointed
Finally Up. Game should be up later.

First Order of Business however; This Rebellion Needs a Ballad for the title. Otherwise it is all a lie and Non-Canon. We need theme music for style and Code Geass is 60% style [20% Politics, 10% Mecha, 5% Harem Anime, 5% Illegal Substances in order to make sense of it all], so let's start filling up this suggestion box.

Can You Hear The People Sing is taken by the prequel.

Perpetually Disappointed
I've got a bit of an interational taste in rebel songs but I won't want a title that's too obvious. Ideally well known and not requiring a gratuitously forgien title.

Here's a couple options that if nothing else ought to kill time listening to;

First We Take Manhatten is my personal first choice

Here's a few others for consideration though;

English Version of Bella Ciao [Goodbye, Beautiful]

The Partisan by [translated] by Cohen

And because Rider needs to be trolled harder, here's a little Yiddish diddy

Hoist the Colors is also a possibility, though First We Take Pendragon feels like a it'd make a cool title.

Anarchy is Order
The Bella Ciao one is a broken link.

Fixed.

Anarchy is Order
Two more suggestions:

Prayer of the Refugee

Welcome to the Black Parade

You are not prepared.
Partisan maybe, but personally I'm not sure any of them have an epic enough tone.

Fuck you and your Yiddish socialist songs Faux.

[up] ...I'd say Welcome to the Black Parade is plenty epic.

What's wrong with Yiddish socialist songs?

Hey, Hey, Daloy Politsey! grin

I dunno though, Cohen's feels pretty epic. I also like a couple others but they're in Spanish, Russian or French and I can't find a translation that doesn't suck.

How has no one suggested this yet?

Code Geass: Ballad of the Rebellion III: The Plastic People of the Universe
Code Geass: Ballad of the Rebellion III: Stand Up Now, Diggers All
Code Geass: Ballad of the Rebellion III: The World Turned Upside Down
Code Geass: Ballad of the Rebellion III: Hanging On The Old Barbed Wire

Not finding anything that seems as inspiring as Les Mis, but then again, I'm not trying very hard.

...Could you link to a Youtube video for your songs, rather than The Other Wiki page, so that we can here the songs?
FOOL!
A little searching would allow you to solve this problem yourself, but fine.

The Plastic People of the Universe was a band whose arrests inspired revolution in the Czech Republic, but all their music is hilariously terrible.
Diggers' Song
There aren't any good recordings of The World Turned Upside Down, unfortunately.

I think we're going for "First We Take Pendragon". I'd have gone for it immediately except it was the last one I thought of and had already posted that I needed one.

It fits Lelouche pretty perfectly, if you're willing to hear out the lyrics.

Whether it winds up properly fitting the RP? Only time will tell that.

Anarchy is Order
...I think that Welcome to the Black Parade is better than First We Take Manhattan, personally...
Perpetually Disappointed
Noted. The issue is that I feel that it's less of a fit for the RP and I don't like any of my ideas for playing off the title.

Other opinions?

You are not prepared.
I wasn't too fond of "First we take Manhattan" at first, but I have to admit, the Code Geass video has warmed me to it considerably.

I like Welcome to the Black Parade, but I don't feel it fits the show or RP at all.

I still like The Partisan, but I'd be willing to go with First We Take Pendragon.

Although personally, I say we just jack Les Mis and pretend the second never happened.

Using Les Mis again? Be all my sins forgotten? I like it.

I'm completely apathetic with regard to what song we use, but First We Take Manhattan is good enough, in my opinion. Doesn't matter to me as long as we're able to get started and the title doesn't make me feel ashamed to be associated with it.

Bot R 3: Ey, Ey, Daloy Politsay?

Anarchy is Order
...I just thought of the perfect song for this...

I agree with nman about We're not Gonna Take It. [1]

I like First We Take Manhattan.

Since you said this'll start soon, do you happen to have any last-minute things we should ruminate on for the time being, so we - or more specifically, I- don't choke when I'm thinking of how to introduce my character?
Perpetually Disappointed
I aim to make it fairly sandboxy. On the other hand, yours and Pigeons are the two who I'll have a bit of trouble plotting but I've got something up my sleeve. Generally, you'll just be talking to people and saying hello. No dramatic introductions or anything huge for characters. It's right around where the anime starts anyway.
