This seems to be 'as an artist's life goes on, they start to produce Author Tracts' We could cut down some blather in the description.

I like that definition, since that's more or less quantifiable.
The examples seem to need some cleaning up, though. The Anita Blake example isn't about Author Tracts, it's about the series getting a lot more pornographic (which, while annoying, isn't this trope). The Anne Mc Caffrey example is about questionable things she's said in lectures, not about her opinions invading her novels.

This is more of an observation.
I support this article, but it seems this page is really just a more extreme version of Author Tract. While Author Tract can be clearly defined, Filibuster Freefall can't. And it seems to just fall under the YMMV category. What do you think?
It's also somewhat similar to Fallen Creator in many ways, as it has negative connotations for the Author.
