This really seems to be skirting the line with being a Trope Repair Shop thread.

I'd take it to the Trope Repair Shop if I was certain there was misuse, but until I know what the trope is supposed to be in the first place, I don't know if it's necessary. So I'm asking here for some clarification on that.

Take it to TRS under the category unclear description. If you can't tell what it is, there is a prima facie problem.

I'd say that it's more of a discussion of something that happens rather than a trope proper.

According to the description, C-List Fodder is a trope that applies to Shared Universes of any sort. However, it generally seems to be used as a superhero trope, regardless of whether the superheroes in question are actually from a Shared Universe or not. There's also some examples that aren't from shared universes or superhero works.
Is the trope wider than the description, or is this misuse?
