Ooooooh if he is imma edit mah post.
Btw, where are my Arch Mages??
Not entirely dead.City state thing made me assume that they didn't have a centralized army. He's more backwater militia near the border since that makes it easier for him to disappear and join the gang without having people on his tail for defecting. I can make him a standard soldier if you prefer but I was worried about what it would do for my adventuring ability.

Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka fics@Faux: Indeed Anilix does not have a standing army, per se, but I imagine there is still some professionalism expected of each city's militia. You should probably say he's on leave or just plain deserting... Someone would be pretty unhappy if he just up and moseyed off to a different city while expected to be on duty. lol
@Chubert: I just might...
Not entirely dead.I did a lot of hand waving; essentially this is his last run for stuff before he goes on leave. If the RP lasts longer, I wrote it in such a way they wouldn't really be desperate for him. At least not unless the village was attacked, but then Ferruccio would probably want to be running back anyway.

@Ragna: Psst! You're late for an Arch Mage Council Meeting!
Not entirely dead.Remind Erik because he's forgetful~!

Not entirely dead.T.T
It appears someone needs to uh do something about that. Also how far is it from Acetus to weist town really?
I thought they were like on different islands. You can't just walk last time I checked T.T
Bet you didn't see that coming@Collen: Uh, wasn't Neil in Acetus?
The Circite capitol is not a short walk from a little nothing-town on the Border. It's at least a day away by horseback...
Oh, and both capitols are on the mainland, but it's a big continent.
And I guess I'll have to NPC Raineh's Arch Mage position. :/
Also, events are scheduled for NOON (in the thread, and we're still in the morning), so if you could all find something that'll occupy your characters for a couple of in-thread hours, you can let me know here when you're ready to skip to noon. And yes, things will happen the capitols, I promise. :P
Not entirely dead.Out of curiousity is any magical tranportation possible?
IE.Channeled portal magic or something?
Or is our best bet horseback. (which won't fail, yay for healing magic)
But good to know about the capitols.
I'm fine with skipping. Who cares what seraphim's doing on break. (honestly it's be filler at best)

Bet you didn't see that comingI'm ready to skip now.
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsIf Mr. Faux doesn't post soon, I'm ready to go.
Magic teleportation is possible, but only short distances by yourself (2km is the max, after which you're gonna need to stop and rest for a while). If you take the time to draw up some runes and/or supplement your power with some friends, then you can poof yourself some 10km away... After which you'd be pretty exhausted.
Anilix gets a railroad system which, admittedly, is slower, but you're in no danger of passing out after riding the train for awhile. One of the few things that still connects Anilix's cities together, and one of the few things still controlled by the federal government.
In the interest of balance, teleportation of more than a few metres takes serious concentration and a good idea of what kind of landscape you'll be ending up in, so no spontaneous mass teleporting behind enemy lines or something. Oh, and in regards to teleporting others, you can only teleport someone who wants you to teleport them. Fair?
And @neopie: I said "hot water", not "boiling water".

Not entirely dead.I could always just retcon Niel's position to the border or something. Also, aren't the capitols on different islands?
Gave them our reactions, our explosions, all that was ours For graphs of passion and charts of stars...Nah they're on the mainland, he's said.
Thank you actually. (Knowing as the government is tolaitarian I was sort of trying to figure out ways to dodge the draft T.T)
Bet you didn't see that coming@Aqueos: Huh? Draft? Circium doesn't have conscription, just an overbearing stance on Law... And Anilix doesn't even have a standing army. :P
Not entirely dead.Eh I figured it might.
Or just avoid things in general. Teleportation is neat anyway.
And not now obviously, but if this escalates into full out war I wouldn't be surprised if one was established. (With everyone having magical potential it seems it wouldn't be that hard)
Also nice retcon T.T

Bet you didn't see that comingHmm, I suppose a skip would probably be better for the whole RP. Perhaps Aileen and Varlam could have their conversation in flashback style?
You are reading this.I suppose we could skip the beginning of the Ferrus-Ganbattar chase scene.
I ship it.The beginning? We're skipping from morning 'till noon. You plan to be chasing each other for several hours?
Tell you what; since Rebecca ran out to see what all the fuss was about, you can meet her part-way to the no-longer-smoking workshop, and she'll tell you (both of you) that there's nothing going on, and you can stop scaring the townsfolk. I imagine she'd be a little upset at you guys, too, given that her father's the mayor. Is that okay with you, daltar?
If not, you can finally make it to the workshop, find that nothing is wrong and take you business with Ferrus outside the town ad settle your differences like gentlemen. Or you can submit to arrest and pay the heavy fine/work off the debt with community service, like a REAL gentleman. And maybe apologize to all the townsfolk you scared/pushed/etc, too.
Then I suppose we can skip to noon, with the Aileen/Varlam happening in the past... Sound good?
Not entirely dead.
Say, Fauxlosophe, is Ferruccio an Anilixian soldier? Like, on active duty? Sporting a uniform?
Not entirely dead.
